Disney Infinity Power Disc Question

I have just become aware that Toys R Us has an exclusive disc. I have questions. There is only one exclusive disc for each series, correct? Each pack has 2 discs in it so are all series one packs the same? Right now TRU website is showing 8 different exclusive packs. Are the now exclusive discs all from the same series? Will I end up with duplicate non exclusive discs? What does the exclusive disc provide for game play to make it worth the purchase? I am just trying to decide if my kids "need" these to enhance their game play experience. I purchased 6 packs from series one and ended up duplicates and am trying to avoid that again. I have not purchased any others and am debating if I should get any from series 2, especially since we never got all of series one. Can anyone help me out? More information or direction to a website would be greatly appreciated!

I am just figuring this all out myself. I found this website to be helpful:

If you scroll down, it tells you which exclusive disc is in each of the TRU exclusive series (1-8).
It also describes what each disc does.

This website has a list & photos of the discs. You can trade on this site as well, but I haven't traded there at all.
