Hi :jester: :jester: :jester:

Has anyone been to Disney in December? Can you tell me how the weather is at that time. How about the crowds in the parks. Are they huge? Will it be to cold to us the pools?
Thank you for your help.

You may get more responses on the Resorts or Theme park boards but...
Yes, we went last Dec. 8th. It was GORGEOUS weather that weekend. In the 70's in the day, cooler at night. ALL the WDW resort pools are heated and felt wonderful. The parks were the least crowded that I remember. Viewing the Osborne Lights in MGM did get a little crowded though:eek: ! We walked on most rides. We LOVE that time of year and hope to do it this year also. That said, and being a Floridian, Dec CAN be very cold. It is not unusual to have weather in the 30's. I think Early Dec is also the best for low crowds. As the middle of Dec rolls around things pick up. From Christmas to New Years is one of the busiest times of the year. Have fun:D !

I've been to the area several times in early December. It typically is very nice (like last December). One year it did get very cold at night so be prepared for weather in the 30's (night) to 70's and 80's (day).

If you go during early December the crowds will be low but all the Holiday decorations will be up. Special Holiday shows and events will be available also (CP, MVMCP, etc) to get you in the mood of the season. Resort prices are fairly good early on too. I paid $55 (total) for one night at the ASSp and $89 nt (plus tax) for CSR.

IMO, it's one of the best times to go.

Early December would be your best time to go and the Christmas lights are amazing!!:) There's nothing like the parks lit up at Christmas to really get you into "the spirit" of the season, and usually the crowds are lower at the beginning of December.

We have been 3 times in December and the only year that was really chilly was 2000 when we were at MVMCP and we froze! LOL:p Always take a few warmer articles of clothing as the weather changes so rapidly in Florida!;)

Hope you have a great time whatever time of the year you decide to go!:D

We did Disney during the second week of December in 1999. It was warm enough to swim in the pools during the day and cool enough at night to require a sweatshirt or fleece pullover. Some days were warm even with sandals and shorts! Layering is the key, but it should be a lot better than December in Maryland.

Crowds were not bad during our trip, but it was more crowded than usual for that time of year due to the Millenium celebrations. EPCOT was the only park that I recall being crowded at all, and that was on a Friday. I hope this helps.
