Disney in 2008 - How Come I Can't Get Rates???

Right now we are aiming to make another trip to WDW in October of 2008. It will give us plenty of time to start saving for our trip as we don't charge anything to credit cards anymore and are completely debt free. I wanted to price out trip (either Oct 12-18th or 19-25th) and it won't let me price it. I have to say that I absolutely hate the new Disney website. I've tried several different browsers and it still a bit of a pain to use.

Does it only allow you plan a year in advance? If so then why the heck does it have yrs 2007-2011 listed to search for packages? This frustrates me to no end.

If someone has an answer, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

I was FINALLY able to get rates for May 2008 just today. I thought they were giving rates for all of 2008, but maybe it's only the first half of the year. . . :confused3

Keep trying. I know it is frustrating!

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get it to work using the DisneyParks.com website rather than the disney.go.com website. I have no idea why main Disney website didn't work.

Now I know about what to expect for cost and will probably be staying at CBR so that it stays affordable. I really want to stay at the Poly but I can't budget $4,000 just for park tickets & hotel alone. Not right now. Hopefully in the future.

I hear ya! I'd love to stay at the Poly, but that's just not going to happen anytime soon! We visited it on our May trip and I just loved it.

Have you stayed at CBR before? It is wonderful!! We loved it! We're looking forward to trying CSR next time.

Nope. Just POR was the only on property hotel we've stayed at. We loved it there but we went when we were childless and know that there are other resorts that are better for families. I have heard lots of great things about CBR and it's actually affordable. I thought about a value resort but just can't bring myself to skimp that much. With the Dining Plan our trip for 3 for 6 nights is under $3000 which is pretty good. Doesn't include airfare or extras but I know that Disney is not a really cheap vacation.

I had this problem a few weeks ago. I was thinking maybe it was because they knew prices were going to rise for the 2008 packages, so they set it up to not work, but whatever reason it was ticking me off. I'll try the Disney Parks.com too, wish me luck.

Yes, CBR is awesome. The kids loved it too!

We thought about the Values as well, but didn't want to skimp and have our vacation ruined.

The quote I got for May 2008 is also under $3000 for 4 of us for 7 nights with the dining plan. I was surprised! It doesn't seem like the rates went up much from last year! :woohoo:
