Disney hotels without the tickets

I have just booked my third trip to DLP, and discovered that, by booking Eurostar and the hotel through the Eurostar website, you can book the Disney hotels without having to include the park passes. This would be useful if, like me, you have or are planning to get an annual pass, or if you are planning on spending a day or two in Paris.

The prices seem very reasonable, and as a member of Quidco.com i saved an extra 2% - not to be sneezed at. I was also able to book the direct train back from DLP to London, which according the the main Eurostar site was sold out.

I've plumped for the Movenpick Dream Castle for this trip, as it was the same price as the Holiday Inn (where I have stayed before) but included breakfast. This is my first trip to DLP with my boyfriend, I am just hoping that he enjoys it as much as i do

you can book hotel only on expedia, last minute.com, and probably if you phone disney.

Yea it is cheapest if you phone Disney direct.

Say you have an annual pass and you often get a discount, depending on the hotel and time of year you can get up to 40% for being a annual pass holder.

My family has just booked 4 nights in June, Room only at the Davy Crocket Ranch for 5 people, for the great price of £150.00. They got 30% discount and a free night for being annual pass holders.

With speedferries.com online offering £19 channel crossings and ability to cook your own meals at the davy crockett ranch, this is a real way to enjoy DLRP on the cheap!

Less than £250.00 in total, after the inital cost of £390.00 for the passes of course"

Just wondering - does it make a difference whether you have a Dream or Fantasy AP?

And is there anywhere that tells you what sort of rates Disney charge for a room without passes - or do they like to keep it all quiet?!!

Discounts are given for fantasy passes but they are normally bigger if you have a dream pass. No discounts for proximity passes, obviously! :smooth:

By-law room-only rates have to be displayed at the reception of the hotels and in every room, and a little card is displayed on the back of every hotel room door. But as far as getting this information when you are at home goes, it is nearly impossible! The best bet would be to ring the hotels direct and ask.

Thanks Tom. :) So it's probably worth somebody in the family buying the Dream AP?!

Definitely worth getting at least one.

But remember that the discounts are not available at certain times of the year, and unfortunatly these dates are not published anywhere! :badpc:

Is there any discernible pattern to it - are they probably more likely to do discounts during the low seasons? Or is it just pot luck?!!!

..the 24th being my 28th Birthday. I'm getting realy excited already, especially as i'm not paying, the trip is a pressie from my boyfriend  I'm already pickiing out where i would like to eat, he is more concerned about not missing any of the World Cup!

The only times recently where there have been no discounts is this weekend and the easter weekend.

So it appears to just be holidays, the price season at the moment is classed as medium season, and even high priced weekends have been included in the reductions recently, but I don't know what it will be like in the summer.

Men!!! :teeth: Then again, if he's paying.....!! :thumbsup2

Why not put your dates on the When everyone is going to DLP thread. :)

Thanks for all the info Tom - really helpful. :goodvibes

Special promotions are also shown in the Annual Passport magazine, although since they don't send it out you need to remember and check on-line :)

can you give me the link for the annual passport magazine again as I appear to have mislaid it. Thanks!

Great news Ruthie :thumbsup2 I'm sure your boyfriend will love it :)

We booked our hotel the last two times through Eurostar (they use Expedia) but this time we've used Benotel. We stay at the Explorers because there's 5 of us. The Movenpick looks very nice, I'm sure you'll have a lovely stay there. :goodvibes
