Hello all.

My son (8 yo) and I will be going to Disney June 2007 (10 nights!!).

I am early in the planning stages right now. In past trips we have stayed offsite, but I am entertaining the possibility of staying on-site this year. I cannot afford to stay at the upscale places, but the low end (maybe moderate) we might be able to do.

Anyway a question for any of you Disney veterans out there:

Do the disney sites (All-Star, Carribean Beach- etc), have decent-sized gamerooms? My boy loves the games that spit out tickets. If they have those- it would be a great way blow 5 or 10 bucks and have a little fun.

What about offsite- any hotels have great game rooms?

A side note. We were there about 3 years ago and stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites. They had a decent game room. However, they are now called Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn. The kicker- they want $300+ a night- for a Holiday Inn??? SpongeBob is great, but give me a break.

Thanks in advance.
Steve

All of the Disney Resorts have a game room, but I don't believe any of them are the type that give tickets redeemable for prizes.

When we stayed at ASMo in January 2005 their game room gave out tickets and my son traded in for a trinket or two. I clearly remember because it was the first time in a couple years he could stand the noise level of an arcade. I did glance in POP's this last trip, and it is pretty big.

Hi Steve,

Yes the Nick Hotel has one and yes they can be expensive. They also have so much more for the kids to do you could never leave the hotel for days. If you are interested in that hotel (your son would definitely love it) then watch mousesavers for deals or call directly and ask for the best rates. Sometimes, they don't put their deals online and you can get a better price by calling. It would certainly be an excellent choice. Good luck!

The POP Century Arcade is GREAT. My boys absolutly loved it. They are 8 & 12. Thats all my son wanted to do all week. We are staying at a moderate this trip and he is dissapointed. They have lots of games at POP that give out tickets and the prizes are pretty decent. Best of all??? POP is CHEAP!!!! Have a great trip.

Thanks for all he replies.

NurseW2Kiddies- you are staying at a moderate resort next time. Those should have comparable game rooms, no? Or does POP have 'the' game room of Disney?

From what I've heard there are no "ticket" games at Coronado... I've heard that the best arcade is at The Contemporary. I also heard somthing about it closing though. Who knows.... My kids really loved POP arcade. It's really new. Lots of good games and it's big.

We have checked out our share of game rooms at different resorts and by far the Pop Century (according to our kids especially) is the best one..they do have the tickets too
