Disney Honeymoon registry questions???

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has ever used the Disney Honeymoon registry and if you liked it or disliked it? Are there any cons to using it? What happens if you put something on your registry, just say dinner at the castle for example, and then never get around to going during your honeymoon... can you apply the money that was given for that to something else? We just decided that Disney is our honeymoon choice for sure and I kind of stumbled across the whole honeymoon registry thing and I am a little weary of it... I had never heard about it before seeing it on their website. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

You make a wish list, but you don't have to spend the money on that. It is all put onto a Disney gift card that you can use towards anything Disney, even in the Disney store! I think that they also don't expire too.

Yep, we are using it right now.
It's actually a pretty sweet deal. Your friends and family put $x on your acct for item A but in actuality Disney doesn't care what you use it on.
Say you have a gift total of $500 in your acct from dinner for 2 in Le Cellier and Yachtsman, Segway tour for 2 and 1 night at Pop century. You can use the $500 for basically anything you want. $500 worth of popcorn and mickey bar, or 1 night at GF...

Our wedding and HM is not until April but I've used it to pay for our extra room night and tour for 2 already... like I said... pretty sweet...

We step the registry. No had purchased anything yet , I got the cute bag though. From what I understand is that Disney pools all of the money in the registry and you get like one big fat gift card to use for any disney stuff you plan on doing.

hmm... we haven't received ours yet.

This is the only registry we plan on having! We're hoping to pay for our entire honeymoon (or at least most of it) with the registry card and any checks we get. We don't have a house yet so I figured there wasn't much point in registering for appliances or china since we would have no where to keep it - we just want an awesome honeymoon!

The only downside I see to it is after your guest makes the purchase they only get to print out this tiny little "card" from the website and it does not say what was picked as your gift or the amount. The good thing is there is a guestbook and the gift purchased is listed there. If you don't have computer savvy people they may be very intimidated. I only had two people use mine and they didn't find it very easy to do and I signed up before the bag came out .

Hope that helps. It is a very pretty gift card for a souvenir if nothing else.

I signed up before the code either, I emailed them and asked if there's anyway I could get the tote and they responded back immediately with a yes.
It's funny because I came home today and found the tote in my mail...

it's a bit stinky but pretty cool...

hmm... mine didn't come with luggage tags... oh well.. at least we get the tote
