What should one expect while honeymooning at Disney. I see a lot about weddings but not much info on honeymoons.:bride:

Well if you wear the Just Married pins and wear the mickey bride & groom ears expect a lot of congrats from CMs and even other guests.

We had a lot of pixie dust on our honeymoon..we did not expect any of it so we were surprised each time something awesome happened.

Here is some pixie dust for you:wizard: :tinker: :tinker:

Have an awesome honeymoon:cutie:

I remember reading somewhere on here, you might get a better place to sit at one of the restaurants. It's always nice to hear congrats and best wishes.

My friends got free desserts and they sat up front in the monorail.

We didn't get much pixie dust during our trip. We got lots of congratulations, some good seats at restaurants, a free dessert and the front row on some of the rides.

My brother got to ride in the front of the monorail!

I think the key is not to expect anything so that you're surprised when something does happen.

My Disneymoon was full of pixie dust! My DH and I got free champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries everywhere we went. We also got special attention from the chef at Artist Point and got to be tasters for about 10 new dishes that he was creating (I think he was bored and we were in the right place at the right time because we were almost the only ones in the place). We took a fireworks cruise and didn't order snacks or anything, but we were greeted with a decorated boat, champagne, and a variety of desserts from the WL bakers compliments of the CM. Eating at WCC was the most fun, though. The CM's made a big deal of us and another couple sitting near us, we had to get up and kiss in front of everyone, and the CM's brought both couples a cake and sang a song to each of us. Lots of congrats came to us all of the parks and resorts too.

Keep in mind that this was 10 years ago, but I've been dreaming of this magical trip ever since. Congrats on your wedding and Disneymoon! I know you guys will have tons of fun.

we got a few things on our trip - all smaller but nice. If you read some of the TR's where people got a ton of free stuff, that's definitely not what you should expect. Just make sure they note that it's your honeymoon on your hotel and restaurant reservations, wear your pins and ears and enjoy! My DH really enjoyed how many non-CM's congratulated us the whole trip more than anything!

I also think it depends on how many other honeymooners are around at the same time you are and it's definitely the luck of what's available and what CM is around at any given time

That sounds like a lot of pixie dust to me. :confused3

It will be a magical honeymoon even if you don't get anything at all. When you're that happy, and at somewhere so wonderful, everything just seems perfect. :goodvibes

We went on our Disneymoon in July 2005, and recived more special treatment than we ever could have dreamed of!

Here are a few of the things that we got to enjoy on our Disneymoon:

-We were given a 'Just Married' balloon when we checked in at POP, that had a little Mickey balloon weight attached to it.
-Free preferred 60s section upgrade at POP
-Mousekeeping (I guess it was Mousekeeping) left us a bouquet of Disney Princess Suckers, a card, and a Disney World wedding picture frame with a singed picture of Mickey and Minnie, along with our towel zoo, on the table in the room.
-I can't even count the number of 'active' FASTPASSES that CMs just handed to us during the week - I guess they were giving us FASTPASSES that people had already turned in.
-Front of the Line passes for Test Track and Mission: Space, and a CM gave us a little card that had Test Track trivia and info on it. He said it was given out on the opening day of TT.
-Free ice cream from the carts(we actually had to start refusing the free ice cream at one point, because we were on the dining plan and needed to use our snack credits!)
-We also were given dessert samplers at several places. At first they offered to give us each a free dessert, but when we told them we were on the dining plan, the brought us out a dessert sampler instead of us just picking one dessert each for the DDP.
-Priority seating tickets for Fantasmic! (Thanks to the manager at Mama Melrose's!-It was a really good area!), and also great seats at Tarzan Rocks, Indiana Jones (we also got to be 'extras' in the show!). CMs would just pull us down to the front and center seats!
-We also got the center window seat at Cinderella's Royal Table (wonderful view of Fantasyland!), and the table was sprinkled with Mickey confetti! Also at Cinderella's Royal Table, our waiter gave us a set of those Cinderella's Royal Table champagne glasses
-Window seats at dinner at Chef Mickey's - with a wonderful view of the castle! We were also given 'It's My Special Day' placemats. And the waitress sang 'Happy Wedding' to us. It was hysterical! And Minnie acted sad that she didn't have a ring on her finger! But when we showed her the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom pen that we had just bought at a gift shop in the Contemporary, she started acting really excited. It was so funny!!
-We were given several 'Congratulations!' cards at different places we ate at during the week - Boma, Cinderella's, Chef Mickey's
-We got to ride up front on the monorail several times
-When we picked up our free Magical Wishes button at Downtown Disney (that another CM at Goofy's Candy Co. told us about), the CM there also let us listen to a special congratulations message from Mickey and Minnie!
-Lucky the Dinosaur stopped to talk to us! It was so cool! We're not sure if it was our ears, or just random. We got this on video - I still can not believe it! DH loves dinosaurs, and we had one stop and visit with us on our Disneymoon!
-At several of the indoor theater attractions, the CM would come up to us and ask our names, then they would announce our marriage over the loud speakers! I know this happened at It's Tough to be a Bug, Muppets, Philharmagic, and a couple of others.
-We were given our own boat on Maelstrom, El Rio del Tiempo, Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean-this was so romantic!
-Many of the characters in the parades would wave at us and give us the thumbs up or point to their ring fingers. The Fairy Godmother did this right when she was talking about true love. Plus many other characters would make a big deal out of our ears! It was so cute!
-TONS of guests and CMs told us 'Congratulations', and many guests would offer us their seats on the bus, or on the boats or whatnot.

Overall it was a totally magical experience. We wouldn't change a thing! We really felt like VIPs the whole week. We wore our Bride and Groom ears the whole time, and our pins later in the week after we received them. The ears were just something I had always wanted to do since I was in middle school and found out about them. I'm such a huge Disney fan, I would have done that regardless of the possibility of getting special treatment. Needless to say, neither one of us expected to get all that extra attention! Of course, DH still wants to know if we can 'reuse' our ears! lol :goodvibes

whoa that's a lot....I think I would be too embarrassed to have my name announced on the loud speaker lol.

Sounds like an amazing trip! This is where I like to caution other brides/disneymooner's though. Things like that and that volume of nice things do NOT happen to most of us. While we had a fantastic trip and did get a some very nice perks, (one set of fast passes, a card and a mini bottle of champagne in our room at the GF and 2 free glasses of champagne at LeCellier) we didn't get a lot of things others got at the same places the same week. Just do your best not to expect anything, and you'll be happier with whatever happens.

I honeymooned there in April/May 2007 I had fallen in love with them when during our first Disney vacation when we got engaged in 2004 I thought they were just adorable. We got a ton of congrats from CM's and guest. It was really nice, everyone seemed legitimately happy for us. As far as pixie dust goes:

-We got a preferred room at POFQ.
-at the POFQ we got free cake [I heart cake]
-fast passes at Mission: Space
-champagne at Le Cellier

I know most people say they weren't expecting anything, and we really weren't but it was nice to get a little extra pixie dust on your honeymoon.:)

Well :: pokes siggy :: I've only had two days at Disneyland on honeymoon, and my WDW honeymoon is forthcoming, but we had a few sprinkles of Pixie Dust. We did not stay "on property" or dine in their restaurants (we were saving for our real honeymoon). We did get Congratulations about a billion times. They were nicer in California Adventures than in Disneyland itself. And late Sunday night, around 11:00, we hopped in line for Star Tours, and the CM shuffled us off to one side and let us have our own private Star Tour to Endor. That was awesome (and I know she could only do that because it was so late and there were few riders). We also had our first trip in the monorail, and they told us to wait in a certain area so we could ride up front. That was a little awkward, though, (I'm rather shy), so I wouldn't do it again. Oh, and we had buttons only, no ears. The groom's hat doesn't fit my husband's head, and I don't want to be the only one wearing them (again with the shy thing).

As others have mentioned, don't go expecting Pixie Dust to happen. Some get lots others get little, and some get none at all.

We got an upgrade from standard to wooded view at WL (though I asked for this).
Free Dessert at Artist Point.
Free cookies from Pecos Bills.
Free fastpasses to Expedition Everest and Test Track.
Special place mats and a cupcake from Chef Mickey
Fun little congratulations and such from characters during parades. (My fav was when Peter Pan came up to us and said, "Ew, you two grew up?! Yuck!")
We got our own car on Primevil Whirl (but there were only 2 people behind us).
(This was my bridal brunch at CRT) They decorated our table with confetti, and gave my mom, moh, and I all a set of champagne flutes.

We went on our Disneymoon this past December and had a WONDERFUL time. Just having Disney honeymoon is awesome, so enjoy it all and don't expect anything, like the other ladies have said.

I didn't expect anything, so the few little things we did get were nice. We got free drinks a few times at vendors in the parks, and free cookies at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, LOTS of congrats, at Narcoosee's they gave us a personalized menu, and at Crystal Palace we had confetti on our table. And we got TONS of congratulations from cast members, and some visitors as well.

Now we didn't wear the ears, just the pins, so that may have had something to do with it, but we didn't want alot of attention so that's why we did w/out the ears.

Like I said, just be excited and enjoy every minute of your honeymoons, but def. don't expect alot b/c no one is obligated to give you anything, and some people get upset when they don't get anything. You're going to Disney! what else could you want??! :goodvibes

We went on our disneymoon last October and am hoping to get a little pixie dust for our 1-year anniversary this October!! Here are the perks we got:
-A rose from the CM at BC
-A certificate congratulating us on our honeymoon under our door at BC and again at American Adventure in Epcot
-A phone call from Mickey congratulating us at American Adventure
-The host at American Adventure took us over next door to the food court and said loudly "Here ye, here ye, Mr. and Mrs. Augustine are here celebrating their honeymoon! Let's give them a hip hip hooray!" And everyone did! Then we got a free dessert at the food court.
-Once in the American Adventure show, they told us to go upstairs by elevator so we could get seated before everyone else and when everyone else was inside, they announced over the loudspeaker that we were there celebrating our honeymoon.
- Free desserts at Le Cellier and Cali Grill.... also a free picture at Cali Grill but I think they did this for everyone.
-Special placemat and confetti on our table at Chef Mickeys
-"Just Married" sign on our tomorrowland transit authority car
-LOTS of congratulations.....

DH and I didn't get any pixie dust... but we were happy just being there for our wedding and honeymoon....

Oddly we were there last year and had on our birthday pins (our Bdays are 14 days apart!) and got more pixie dust with those than for our wedding and honeymoon....

So I would say don't expect to receive pixie dust, but just be happy being married and being with the one you love....

If pixie dust comes your way great!!! If not, you're at the most magical place on earth with the most magical person in your life... how much more pixie dust could one ask for!!!!!
