Im at work right now and just heard over the radio that there going to broadcast a segment about health code violations or something of that nature and they brought up disney world. I really wanna watch it but I cant because im at work, if anyone is watching the CBS news at 11 tonight please report in this thread. Im really curious, thanks alot!

Like I posted on that thread -- they are probably just trying to take a jab at ABC which is owned by Disney. Some interesting "food for thought" if you'll pardon the intentional pun!!

I watched that last night... nonsense... utter nonsense....

They are looking to just get viewers by making it sound like they were breaking some major story about WDW. They get one guy who complained of food poisoning, and try to make a big deal out of 8 people who complained of food poisoning in 2003.

However, they also let you know that WDW serves over 100,000,000 meals every year, so although 8 cases is 8 too many, those numbers are pretty good!!!

Anything for ratings, right? Next thing you know, they're going to have LaToya Jackson have her top ripped off at WDW!!

I just followed the link and read the report on the CBS website. It was sad and pathetic. CBS had a hard time turning the facts around. Like this :
They insist they work hard to avoid violations and try to correct them immediately. "Of the millions and millions of guests who visit us every year, eight of those guests filed a health complaint and we think that is outstanding," Polak adds.
What's so bad about that statement? I agree, that is outstanding! But CBS said "they insist" like it wasn't true.
They called the state and blamed the steamed clams but when inspectors showed up two weeks later, they say they found no violations.
In all of their examples the inspectors found nothing - or "potentially" nothing:
they uncovered diced chicken held at potentially hazardous temperatures
. What in the heck does "potenially hazardous" mean? Isn't EVERYTHING potentially hazardous?

What a horrible swipe at Disney - I hope nobody bought into that story.
