I am 66 years old and I admit I love Mickey Mouse and WDW. We have gone with our children and now enjoy going with our grandchildren. Are ther others like me out there? I am lookibng for people my age who understand why I love to go to WDW and who could share their experiences.

We're DGPs, 67 & 64, and we're members of DVC and love sharing our points with the family. DGCs first trip was when they were 1,2 and 3, and it was a 4 generation trip, my Dmom was 88 at the time, and that was the last year that she was able to travel. The DGC are now 6, 7, and 8,and they have moved to Florida, so our trips to WDW will be shorter, but hopefully more frequent, especially once DH and I retire.

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. I come to love Disney directly through DMom, who's wish to celebrate her 85th birthday at WDW was the impetus we needed to buy into DVC!

We are grandparents of 9. When each grandchild is 4 we take them to WDW. In May 2012 we will be taking #6 and #7 but the whole family is then going together on the Dream (all 19 of us). Luckily we are only 51 and have energy for all of them (well sometimes we do wear out sooner then they do). DH and I also enjoy those solo trips when we can go at our own pace and stop and listen to off kilter or enjoy the restaurants we love. I wish we were DVC members...maybe some day.

I knew there had to be more Disney lovers my age. I truly believe family vacations are so important and the memories are priceless. We also go to the Maine beach each summer with as many of the family who can join us but Disney is just so magical that you can truly forget the everyday problems, and some aches and pains as we get older.

DW and I have been taking our DGS to Disney/DVC/DCLs since he was two, he is now 22. He still feels the love of Disney. Our next DGS will be arriving next month and we will be doing the same with him. Already planning DCLs for him, DD, and DSiL for 2014. Will be taking him to everything Disney has to offer.

DH and I have dreamed for years of having our whole family together on a Disney cruise. We have traveled to WDW together a few times, but our family has grown even more and we are thrilled to be planning for May. I hope we can get the entire family together for pictures while on the Dream. As you can tell, I believe so very much in family and family vacations! DH was quite ill last fall/winter and I guess all of our kids realized the time to enjoy their families is now! I fell very blessed!

KarlaG4Kids, I see you were at the marathon weekend in January '10, wasn't that cold?!! Many of us are doing the family 5K this time and DDiL is doing the 1/2 marathon. Will you be there for the '12 Marathon weekend?

Yes we were and it was miserable. Dd and I sat in the sleet to watch DSIL in 1/2 marathon and then we even missed seeing him because we looked over at some guys dressed as tinkerbelles! We aren't going this year till May. I'm sure in a future year we will go back to the marathon, but this year we wanted warmer weather to go on the Dream.

We're fairly new Grandparents (9 mos), but we can't wait til we can take her to WDW. We were at WDW when we got the phone call in the middle of the night that she'd been born, and DH went out the next morning and bought her tons of WDW things, so in some ways she's already a Disney girl! But we can't wait for our first trip as grandparents.

I know this feeling. My sons are 18 and 22, still a little young to have grandkids. They are not interested in disney anymore (gasp) and I always tell them that I can't wait til I have grandkids so I can take them to disney. I have never had the experience and would love to dress up my granddaughter like a princess:thumbsup2

I adore Disney. I grew up watching the Wonderful World Of Color and Disney's beautiful animation! So I am now Disney World obsessed! I go as often as possible without DVC. The only Grandchild so far adores Disney as well. At 6 she has been 5 and she is going for her second time this year in Oct. I also go as a solo or just with my GF's. Hubby can't go right now but we still have a great time. Hopefully he can join us soon !!!!

We took our second GS when he was 4 months old and last year when he was 2 and he will go this year at 3. The older one was 4, 6, 8, 10 and will 11 this year. They are both addicted already to "Mickey's House" as they call it.

Wow, we were at a MVMCP when our DGS, now 7 was born! He loves to hear that we were dancing with Snow White and the 7 dwarfs when he was born!:goodvibes

Our DDiL had an injury, and so she wound up not participating, and I suppose that was just as well, so we didn't have to stand out in the cold. She's healed now, and is looking forward to doing this coming 1/2.
