Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

1) I should've known that you would add a day--oh wait another day. oh wait on top of the other day;)

2) Brown Derby Cheesecake. Thanks for pimping the Cheesecake. Think I'm gonna have to try that. If I'm not too full.

3) Food, glorious food! Definitely an original countdown.

We will be moving this summer and it will be in Northern Austin...the Round Rock area...we will definitely have to get together!!!

That's really close! I'm between Austin and Round Rock in a town called Pflugerville!! That's so exciting!! What brings y'all this way?!

Disney dreams are the best kinds of dreams :cloud9: especially when you can make them come true! :wizard:
:woohoo: for the extra night!!
Love your idea of the food countdown! Food is a very important part of my Disney experience

Tracy

p.s. Jen, when you are at Jiko make sure to try the pistachio and chocolate creme brulee ::yes::
Food is way too important to my Disney experience too. :rotfl:

I don't think Jen like pistachio...I think that is why she doesn't want to get it at Jiko. Am I right, Jen?

Wow, I'm excited for the countdown! I'm not usually a cheesecake person but that looks mighty good LOL! I'll be leaving for WDW a week from tomorrow, eating lunch at Mexico- don't believe all the negative reviewers, the food is good there- one of our faves!!! :goodvibes
I want to go to San Angel Inn too! The atmosphere looks so neat!

Another night! :faint: Marc must be loving this too. First he gets a new TV and now a new stereo!

Mmmmmm food porn! :thumbsup2
He really wants surround sound by I draw the line there, I can't stand all that noise. It freaks me out. :rotfl2:

A food countdown! Pictures are blocked for me here but I have a lovely image in my head of the strawberry cheesecake.... I love almost any kind of cheesecake... great idea and :woohoo: for the extra night!
This was the best cheesecake I have ever had, hands down. YUM!

:cool1::banana::yay::dance3: Yippee for 30 days!

:cool1::banana::yay::dance3: Yippee for the extra night!!

:cool1::banana::yay::dance3: Yippee for the super cool food countdown!!!

I'm so excited for you for adding another night!!!!! Your too funny!! 3 nights turned to 6! Works for me! I'm also glad that I'm not the only one with a severe case of addonitis! ;)
It's really bad. I need to just plan longer trips, works better for me that way. :rotfl2:

Congrats on POFQ and SSR! I hope you fall in love with them. I took a walk through the grounds at POFQ on Sat. morning before I left, and I was feeling a twinge homesick.
I really really really can't wait for POFQ! I am so excited that I get to stay there. :dance3:

Another night??? :lmao: Will that mean that another ADR is added??? I hope not, I was losing my min trying to figure out the other one! :goodvibes
I haven't quite decided on the whole ADR thing. I don't know if I want to do one solo and if I do...where do I want to go?! :rotfl:

Hey LL and Jen! I just caught up in time to celebrate with you!!
:banana::yay::cheer2::cool1:
Congrats on 30 days, extending the trip, getting POFG and SSR!! Sounds great!

I just got back Sunday night from my trip - I'm exhausted, but I plan to do a TR soon - have SO many pictures to upload! I could get a lot more done if I didn't have to go to work!
I can't wait to see more yummy food pictures!
Post the link over here when you get it started! Stupid work always gets in the way for me too!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I love that you added ANOTHER night! That's awesome!!

One more LL and you can do the Buy 4 Get 3.... except for that wonderful resort hop you're making!

Jen- When are you moving to Austin?! What part of Austin?! I'M IN AUSTIN!!!! :goodvibes

My name is LL and I have add-on-itis. :rolleyes1
So true!

I LOVE the 30 day countdown in food, how fun!

And another day!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

another ADR?
Not so sure about the ADR. I can't figure out where I want to eat, there are too many options. I do know that I would want it to be in the MK area and probably for lunch. I was all set to book Narcoosee's for dinner but I can't get an earlier ADR!

I agree, the grapefruit cake is definitely an aquired taste. On my next trip, I'll have to convince someone to order that cheesecake so I can try it! :lmao:
See, that's the way to do it!

The cheese cake looks yummy. Since Keeley doesn't eat sweets Megan and I will have to make sure we get that and the Creme Brulee to share.:goodvibes
Yes, I do recommend the cheesecake...I don't recommend sharing. :rotfl2:

Congrats on 30 days.
YUMMO on the cheesecake!!
We do need more pics.
Marc is going to have a home theatre-Disney themed of course if you keep going on these trips :):rotfl2:
Seriously. Though I really love our tv now too. I have become an HD snob. :rotfl:

YAY!!!!! for the extra night... really these changes are comical and fabulous at the same time!! Only an LL PTR! :rotfl: AND I am totally excited for the foodie countdown!!! YAY! :rolleyes1
Yes, I like to keep you all guessing!

That cheesecake does look yummy, although I'm leaning towards the creme brulee on Sunday when I'm there.
SUNDAY!! :dance3:

Yay for another day!!!! The strawberry cheesecake looks so yummy. I wish that was my dessert tonight!!! I may have to stop at Crumbs bakery in the morning for a strawberry cupcake.
Did you stop at the bakery? That sounds so yummy!

I'm so glad you got to add on an extra night! I'm sure that Marc likes getting something out of the deal, too. :rotfl2:

30 days is so exciting! We're at 56 days and I keep telling myself that's near the 40's, and next is the 30's. I keep consulting my dated Mickey heads to see how many days we'll be at on Christmas eve, Christmas day, New Years, beginning of the spring semester...

Congrats on SSR, too -- that is awesome! I can't wait to see all your pictures from both of those.
I figure with Christmas next week and then New Years the next....well our trip is going to be here so fast!

We will be moving this summer and it will be in Northern Austin...the Round Rock area...we will definitely have to get together!!!
I'm jealous.

You should have known. I'm THAT predictable. :rotfl: You have to have the cheesecake, even if you have two bites. :thumbsup2

Hurrah for an extra night and a food countdown!! :yay::yay:
:woohoo:

I am ready for my Day 29 food pic! popcorn:::goodvibes
Coming right up!

29 Days sounds so much better than 30 days for some reason. :rotfl:

I did breakdown and change my ticker. I can't handle it being wrong. Poor Madame Leota was sent all the way to the beginning. But it's four weeks until I leave and that is EXCITING! :dance3:

Next on our Food Countdown is....

Fish N' Chips from Rose & Crown.

FishNChips.jpg

Yummmmmmmmmm. This was SO GOOD back in May. We'll be eating here on our last night of our trip. I think it's an excellent way to end since in May it was where we ate on our first night. Even though I was on Epcot overload last trip, I'm looking forward to the day we have planned here. :goodvibes I cannot wait to eat here again!! I have had two amazing meals here and I am so looking for to this!! And those fish and chips will be mine again...as long as you share that yorkshire pudding with me LOL!!!

*************************************
Since you can see a little piece of my Vera Bradley Mail Bag in this picture, I figured it was a good time to talk park bags.

Though I liked my Mail Bag, it's not making the cut this trip. I hate the way the flap rests, it really bothers me that it over hangs the purse.

I was contemplating bringing a backpack but threw that idea out the window because I want to travel light in the parks.

A couple of weekends ago, I went to my local Paper Store that sells Vera. I tried out the Saddle Up bag and really liked it. Jen used that on her last trip and she really liked it. Of course, they were having a 20% off sale but they didn't have the pattern I wanted....Mod Floral Pink. It's one of those retiring colors so it's 25% off right now so I want to take advantage of that plus the pattern is really pretty.

I went looking again at the Paper Store last weekend but none of the stores in my area had the Saddle Up in Mod Floral Pink. BOO! So I hopped on Ebay and found one for $48, then I found a 10% off coupon so I bought it for $43 total. I didn't think that it was too bad. So now I'm just waiting for it in the mail. :yay:

Jen, what are you doing for a park bag? Well I will be bringing two bags with me! I found out in October that I can make it into a park with just me and my Hope Garden Saddle bag Vera...however I cannot leave my Mary Poppins Bag at home and if the weather is cold I will want my backpack so I can have someplace to carry my layers if I need to take off or put on LOL!!!

Fish and chips -- nummy, nummy, nummy! I wish I was having those for lunch today!

Yeay for a new Vera! Do we get pics of it soon?

Jen, you crack me up with your Mary Poppins bags for layers. Hopefully it will be nice and warm the whole time you are there.

Ohh..the fish and chips look good too...you ladies have good taste in food! Woohoo for a new parks bag! I'm hoping to get a baggalini or something similar under the Christmas tree, but if I don't I may have to splurge. :rolleyes1: What is a Mary Poppins bag?

The Mary Poppins Bag is what we affectionately call my Jansport backpack I take with me! It got its lovely name from Leslie and I's May trip when we found out that I can fit about everything but a lamp (and I might be able to do that too) into my backpack...and yes we even put a plant in it LOL!!!!!

Mmmmm those fish and chips sure do look tasty!
I don't know if I told you that I tweaked some reservations for May seeing that I was enabled to add on a day and then I was enabled to eat at Rose and Crown :rolleyes1 :rotfl: Bring on the Yorkshire!!

:yay: for the new Vera...I think that park bags are a close second to food!

I don't remember the creme brulee at Jiko being over pistacho y. My niece had some kind of chocolate concoction with lavender ice cream. Let me tell you that ice cream was soooooo good!! Plus it was purple...who doesn't love purple ice cream?

Tracy

You did NOT put a plant in your backpack...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Too funny.

If you ladies can put up with talk of chonies, poofin and other bodily function, I can put up with a little bag talk.

Oh those Fish and Chips look YUMMY right now!

I agree with the need for a Mary Poppins bag in Jan. I had one for layers in Feb and it was well used!

new park bag! :thumbsup2

Of course I'm also a big fan of lockers.

Too funny about the Mary Poppins bag! I'm either going to have to learn to pack better or take less, I think. Otherwise I'll be toting around a 20 lb backpack! My family calls my purses "the bottomless pit" because of all the stuff I lug around. We're having fish for dinner tonight and it's all you ladies' fault!

I WAS planning on the fish and chips at R&C in May but with all this talk, I think you have convinced me to go with the one with yorkshire pudding even though I'm not sure I really understand what it is (it does come with a fish too right?)

I don't think I commented yesterday but I LOVE the food countdown!

Did you stop at the bakery? That sounds so yummy!

I did!!! I got a butterfinger cupcake and a chai. All that sugar was probably not the best way to start the morning. Here's the website: http://www.crumbs.com
They have the some of the best cupcakes ever. I  Crumbs!!!

The fish and chips looks very good.

Yay to a new bag! Mod floral pink is a pretty pattern. There are a bunch of things on sale on the Vera Bradley website. It's quite tempting.
