I vote for a "Where's Leslie" pic in one of the parks! Like the old Where's Waldo? books! Find someone very nice to do the pic in a busy part of one of the parks..make sure you can see the camera, and wave or something so the person can do the pic. Might be best to get a CM to do it unless you spot a good looking guy to flirt with though, LOL.

That is a really good idea but I don't know if I have enough social guts to ask someone to do that. I'll keep it in mind though for sure.

Ok now I'm starting to panic about the weather! And I'll be sending you both the bill!!


Seriously though, what weather sites are y'all checking?! The one's I'm looking at are highs in the 60s into the 70s with lows in the 40s to 50s.

HELP!! Do I need to go out and buy more layering options?!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't panic because of us. We are freaks.

Not if you are used to those temperatures LOL!!!! I live here in the south and to me the 40s are cold so I have to be prepared for that and a few sites I saw had the lows in the 30s and with windchill that makes for a cold night...especially an EMH MK evening!!!

Just follow the advice and have layers!! Please do not panic like me and buy handwarmers and blankets...there needs to only be one of us per thread and I will happily claim the title and save the rest of you from my insanity LOL!!

PS...was able to talk Leslie out of the blanket...whew...was worried about that for a second and I didn't buy the fleece (at least not yet LOL) I have a Disney fleece Prince P got for me last Christmas that will be making this trip LOL!!!

I'm going to give up on this whole weather thing...I don't know what the weather will be like there but I know I'm going prepared LOL!!!!! I just need to find a way to stay warm the next couple of days LOL!!!!!

Yes, we tried to reason with each other last night. I think we feel a little better. I've been told I need to go back to my role of the being the person with reason.

Being a character junkie (my kids forced me to be I guess) I think you should try to meet /see one of the Fab Five in all 4 parks. Be it in the parade, on an item, or in person. That would be fun!

I'm not sure about the Safari, this is probably DIS blasphemy but while I enjoy the safari it's not on my must do list this trip because I always focus on going on that and not the other attractions in the park.

I'm so happy for you guys. I'm a little nauseous this morning, so I'm going to refrain from food commentary other than to say, I hope you enjoy it!

LL, I'm glad you got more layers to bring. Honestly, it's been really, really cold down there right now, and I know we both have a propensity to overpack, but in this case, I'd rather have too much than not enough, or you'll be buying up all the Disney sweats you can lay your hands on! Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, just tough on the wallet.

Congrats on the later flight. I do enjoy a little goodbye to the MK on the last day.

And don't worry, you're busy now, but it will all come together.

Oh, I totally forgot. I did three parks in one day on my last trip, and my goal was character meet and greets. Long story, but this was very spur of the moment on my part. That's an easy way to do all four in one day. Plus you know how certain areas are themed different, so those could be some really cool pictures. Just a thought.

I rather be over prepared than having to buy stuff while I'm down there.

Character meets do sound like a good idea...hmmm. I'm going to try to formulate some sort of plan today while I'm work during my down time...not that there has been much of that this week.

An airport spa! Think about it, with all the hassle of security these days, people are stuck in their terminals for an hour or two. wouldn't it be nice to take that time to get a mani or pedi or even a short massage

Being a non-entrepreneur, if any of you take that idea and make a fortune, I get a cut OK?

I've never seen one but I think that is a great idea! I could go get my pedicure at the airport instead of having to squeeze it in this week.

You girls are funny! Hate to tell you this but the weatherman said something like this, this morning: "It's not often we get to say this but it's 29 here in Hartford and 29 in Orlando, FL." Hope the cold spell breaks for you. But sounds like you are very well prepared.

Katie - i have seen spas in some airports. Some even have nap rooms! But that doesn't mean you couldn't launch a new chain of them!

Or you could say over prepared. I'm officially ignoring the weather down in Florida until I get down there. But I will still check the Manchester weather for my flight out.

I definitely think the hardest part of going in January is the packing...the forecast keeps changing. Rain on some days the next time I check no rain! Lows in the 30s then lows in the upper 40s on the same day...that makes a difference you know!! But as many of you have said its about being prepared and that we will definitely be LOL!

We will be prepared!

A Coconut Mickey Bar!

This is a bad picture but the only one I can find. I believe the coconut bar is either in a blue or purple wrapper but I might be mistaken.

I had two of these little delights back in May and they were so good. I love the combo of coconut and chocolate. Mmmmmm.

Since on the countdown many of these have been just for me I think it's only fair that a few of these be just for you! LOL!! I'm not a big coconut fan..so I will do the Caramel Mickey bar while you enjoy the coconut one!!!

I couldn't resist -- I had to look at weather.com to see what the weather is "supposed" to be for Disney next week -- the high next Thursday is supposed to be 73 -- looks like we might be out of the cold snap by your arrival. The low is supposed to be 55 so that long underwear might still come in handy.

I got mine at Walmart, it's really cute and compact. It's black with white swirls. I'll try to take a picture of it for you. I got it in my stocking!

I have to laugh at all the talk about the cold. 29 is cold no matter where you are. We had a few days of low 40's temps while I was down there in December. My BFF and I laughed that the weather made it easy to tell where everyone was from. All the southerners were bundled up like we were entering the next ice age - hats, gloves, parkas etc. The northerners were still wearing shorts with their light weight jackets.

I love the idea of 4 parks/1 day. Our last day we hit 3 parks, but had we hit AK early we could have caught all 4 without a problem. I like TK's idea of character pics in each.

And lastly hooray for the one week mark! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you guys get some more normal weather while your there.

Sorry to enable and then go and realize they don't sell them anymore. My aunt got me two that I love... but a while ago. I think LL and Jen need to go the Vera Bradley outlet sale for a trip sometime... that would be fun!

I'm hoping that the weather warms up for you next week. It's been freezing here in Florida recently. Can't imagine doing the parks in this weather!

I'm impressed with the 4 parks in one day plans. Never tried that before. If I were you, I think I'd try to do my favorite attraction in each park and meet at least one character in each park. Perhaps not a very original idea, but I think that's what I'd do.

Not sure if you've seen my TR lately, but I just posted some pics of the French Quarter that I thought might interest you including one slightly-hidden Princess and the Frog item to look for in the food court. Out of all of the Princess decor, I'm guessing this will have the greatest chance of still being out in the resort after the Christmas decorations go down.
