OK girls, with all the practice you are providing Jordan, do ANY of you actually buy those things from the men in your life? I know I tune out DH when he starts spewing that stuff because I know he is full of it!

I haven't bought anything yet. I don't know what I'm going to get. I am very very torn.

Marc doesn't say stuff like that. I don't think. I'm sitting here trying to think and it doesn't seem like something he has said in the past.

I am so exhausted.

Marc & I were on a quest today for the perfect Christmas Tree. We drove all over creation, debating between getting a smaller potted tree, a fake tree or just a small real one. We went for a walk in one of the historical parks in Concord. I took some pictures, I'll upload them tomorrow. Went to the inlaws to get our box of Christmas stuff. Went to Walmart. Went to Lowes. Finally found the perfect tree and came home...exhausted. We hung christmas lights on our balcony. Set up our tree...waiting to decorate until tomorrow. Cleaned out the closet that was so jammed full you couldn't open or close it anymore. I went through my suitcases and came up with a packing plan...more on that later. Hung our stockings with care and watched the finale of Making the Team: The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

And now....I'm going to bed.

What a busy day. We haven't gotten our tree yet -- we were going to go the first Saturday in December, but I didn't realize how quickly December was approaching, so I didn't get to request it off. We're going the week after.

I can't wait to see your Concord pictures! I will get there someday. For now, I'm setting for taking the T into Boston after we get our tree, and taking pictures in the Commons.

You really do need to go to Concord. You need to go in summer though, it was pretty drab out yesterday. I did see signs for a Christmas Event at the Louisa May Alcott house that I might have to investigate. Marc & I decided yesterday that we just want to live in Concord. We love that area. It means I'd have a longer commute again but it just might be worth it.

I was wondering the same thing. A bag that didn't feel quite right before may be perfect now.

I went and tried out the Saddle Up today and I think it might be a good bag for me. Of course since the store was holding a special on everything you bought....they didn't have the pattern I wanted.

I hope Jen doesn't mind if I do a little update with my Christmas decorations. She has been busy with family visiting for Thanksgiving so I didn't want to bombard her with another update to make comments on.

Marc & I set off on the search for the perfect Christmas tree yesterday. We weren't sure if we wanted to buy a really small potted Christmas tree, or a fake one or just a small live one.

We drove up to Concord and stopped at a few places on the way, most places wanted up to $60 for a small potted tree! EEEK. No thank you.

We decided to take a walk in one of the Historical Parks. We went to this one a few months ago and I posted pictures of it. I wanted to take a picture of myself in the same spot.

These picture are from September 5th.

These are from November 28th.

I notice more of a difference in Marc then myself. Isn't that always the way?

So after our walk we had to go to our inlaws to pick up our tree stand and other Christmas decorations that were in storage. Then we went to Walmart...no trees yet! Can you believe that? Then Lowes, we found one we liked but there was something about it that didn't thrill me so we passed. So we were driving home and there was a little tree stand and we found the perfect tree!

Ruby loves the tree.

Every year I buy us new stockings because I can't find THE ONES. I think these are it. I am so pleased with them. Thank you Wigd and Happydog for showing them to me!

Jen was sweet enough to send this to me. Isn't it adorable? It came when I was having a craptacular week at work so it was even more appreciated!

Here are a few more of my favorite ornaments....

My Baby's 1st Christmas ornament. This broke in two the year I moved in with Marc. He was able to carefully put her back together. You can't even tell!

We bought this on our 2008 trip.

Our First Christmas ornament. If I learned anything from my parents....don't have a glass ball First Christmas ornament. Theirs has almost broken so many times that it stresses me out!

Mom bought me this bird in Germany in May.

Horrible picture but you get the idea.

Then a psychedelic Christmas Tree photo.

Next Saturday is Mom's Annual Cookie Day. So I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of that to share. I'm excited. Since I'm the only one who comes without a child to decorate a house, Mom has finally agreed to let me decorate one of my own since I'm her kid.
