Disney Gives Me the Warm Fuzzies. January 2010 PreTrip Report. Update 11/6 Pg. 79

Yes, all moderates have fridges in the rooms which is nice if you use the fridge while on vacation. We use ours for water and other drinks.

I can totally see why you haven't made a decision -- I don't blame you either -- just sit on it and wait for a little bit.

Hmmm, I am going to go with either The Great Movie Ride or All Star Movies...

Count me into the enablers ;)

I really, really think you should go for it! You've been through a lot lately and if your going to take a break from WDW for a bit you may as well go out in style, right? ;)

darn it...i knew the pic of the day yesterday and I missed THAT update! This one I have no clue...ughhhh

If it makes you feel better, Stacy and I are having the same lodging issue. POP or POFQ for us. Come on AP rates!!!

I'm all about upgrades IF it makes sense financially and by financially, I also mean Fuzzy Disney Math. But if it out and out means more money, then I would just stick with Pop. I love Pop. I, too, have always wanted to stay at POR as well, but solo can't justify the increase in price....

Now if you can score a good discount.......that's another story......

First, l know I said before to count me into the enablers. BUT, the stress that this is causing you is actually tangible!! If your worried about it don't do it! Go with your gut, go with what you know is what you want to do!!! What every you decide, no matter POR, POP, or anyplace else your going to be in WDW with a good friend having a blast, that's what counts!!!!!

Let's play again! Where in Disney Am I?

I think it's the Great Movie Ride, but I could be way off!!!

 Hi! I just finished your TR from your May trip, so I thought I'd pop on over here. Thanks again for the chapter links! Congrats on your surgery and weight loss - how cool is that?! Bravo to you for doing it, it must be very tough to survive on liquids that long.

Hey - I've got to check out that Bandaid blister product you mentioned - is it like Body glide? I've used solid antiperspirant on my feet before and that works well, but I'm always looking for new tricks.:thumbsup2

I'm going to throw Mickey's Philharmagic out there.

Boy, after seeing your pro/con list LL, I'm going to flip flop and say I'd stay at the Pop. It's too stressing! Save the money now, concentrate on Marc in November and unless you get the kickass rate, save the POR/POFQ for another time. You'll get there.

The fridge is very nice but Jen does have a plug in cooler that she was thinking of buying so we could just do that too. Decisions, Decisions.

You are correct. The Great Movie Ride!

If you look up when you are moving under this sign, you will see those lights. :thumbsup2

It is so tempting. I am still all confused about it.

I figured you would know yesterday's picture.

It does make me feel a little better. :rotfl2: I wish the AP rates would just come out already...or park hours for that matter. Sigh.

The Fuzzy Disney Math isn't helping me! Usually I don't hesitate to upgrade but I'm just worried about spending the extra money...which is so unlike me. Usually I upgrade first and worry about paying later.

I'm leaning towards a decision at the moment....I'll update about it later.

You are correct...it is The Great Movie Ride.

Thanks for joining me over here! You are welcome for the links.

The liquid diet was VERY HARD. Probably the hardest part about the surgery but I survived and I am feeling really good now.

Yes, it's just like Body Glide. I love it. I'm going to stock up and bring it with me in January. :thumbsup2

Nope, The Great Movie Ride.

I'm really into saving money lately, I think that is why it's so difficult for me to upgrade to POR. PLUS having to deal with all the ticket crap and paying it off in November. BAH.

i would stay at POP. We wish we could afford somewhere nicer then a value for our honeymoon in Dec, but i want to be able to pay for the vacation free and clear, no credit cards! Plus you will have more spending money and an ever bigger reason to return to WDW-staying somewhere new! I am all for saving money too lately, so I'm right there with you. good luck, and i cant wait to hear your decision!

I really think that you'd enjoy POR. There are fridges in the rooms, I've never had a problem with their transportation (if you use the bus stop by the lobby/ food court area you should almost always get a bus), and I think you'll be comfortable. I really think it's going to come down to money. You know, you could always stay at POP and spend an afternoon or something exploring POR and FQ. It would be cheeper than staying there and you'd still get to see it and fell like a southern belle for a little while. Or if there's a great AP rate, I say go for it!

I hear on the free and clear. I paid for May in the free and clear, I plan to do the same in January. :thumbsup2

If I do not stay at POR than I will be visiting for sure. I really want to check it out. :goodvibes

One minute I am happy with staying at Pop, then the next minute I can't imagine NOT staying at Riverside and then 15 minutes later I'm online pricing out Wilderness Lodge. I have issues.

:rotfl:I think we all have the same "issues", so you are in good company!:rotfl:

p.s. definately starting tr this weekend. I had too much fun and took too many pictures not to post!

I think on the DIS, we are all in very good company.

I am so excited that you are starting your TR! :yay:

January Park Hours are out!!

:woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

I've also made a decision about our resort.

We are staying put at Pop. For now at least. If a killer AP rate comes out then we may just upgrade to Riverside for a few nights. If not, I will be happy at Pop. I feel so much more relaxed and looking forward to this trip again.

Jen & I talked on Sunday about our ADRs. We decided that since we are both on losing weight kicks that we should just do one table service meal a day. We are planning on having breakfast items in the room so we won't have to worry about breakfast. Lunch will either be a counter service or perhaps even a snack of some sort. Then we'll have dinner at a table service establishment.

The problem? We have way too many table service places we want to eat at.

For our time together we have 11 places on Itinerary 3.0 so we are going to have to make some MAJOR cuts. We will have 5 nights together to be eating dinner so we have to cut that in half. Granted, I will probably still do one table service while I'm solo but it's still a lot of cutting to do.

Current List:
Big River Grille
Mama Melrose's
Yak N' Yeti
Jiko
Les Chefs
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace (which will be closed for refurb so that one is OUT)
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Sci Fi Drive In
Brown Derby
1900 Park Fare (We plan to still do that on departure day)

I have a few places in mind that I don't mind cutting at all. I think I'm going to work on a new Itinerary while Jen is gone and then go over it with her when she gets back. I think I know her well enough to know where she wants to eat the most. I think anyways. ;)

I really feel like I'm much more excited for January. I was feeling way overwhelmed the last few days. I have to keep focused on the facts.
*I'm going to Disney.
*I deserve this trip.
*I get to spend time with my best friend.
*After a very emotional year for me personally, things are looking up and I can't wait to celebrate my accomplishments at my very favorite place!

I'm having a lot of fun with these Where in Disney Am I? I hope you are too!

You beat me to it. I was just coming to your PTR to give you a link to the January hours!

I'm glad you're staying at Pop! Can't go wrong there!

jiko
chefs
le cellier

those would be my first choices among those you listed. just my two cents.

Hurray for January hours and a resort decision! I love Pop and no matter what you will be at Disney! :goodvibes

If I were choosing five of those places to eat at, I would choose Jiko, Crystal Palace, Park Fare, Sci-Fi, and Brown Derby.

You have me stumped on the picture -- I will have to think about that for a few minutes.

is it somewhere in AK? maybe around the tree of life? Like near Pizzafari or something....? just a stab in the dark.

You can't go wrong with Pop! Those three are absolutely on my list!

That's right, I'm just happy to be going back. I need a vacation!

Two of those places are going to be axed from the ADR list. :rolleyes1

You have me stumped too, just like a tree......:lmao:
:rotfl2:

Nope. You are freezing cold.
