Disney Gives Me the Warm Fuzzies. January 2010 PreTrip Report. Update 11/6 Pg. 79

I am pretty sure I just heard my stomach growling while I was looking at your ADR list -- yummy, yummy!

Two different dates on the tickers would drive me nuts, too!

I'm with Floss, looks like Mary Poppins style chimneys to me!
HBD twice! Double yumm! :cloud9:

Oh that's totally the Haunted Mansion!

Love your ADR list and your warm fuzzies!
You would be CORRECT!

LL - love your ADR list! I hope you get them!

On the ticker question, Iwould guess it's because maybe you put one on at a time and they change dates about 12 hours apart? That would make them always a day off.

My first ticker is a day off because we added a day at the beginning of our trip, but I don't want to change it and have it start way back to the left again! :)

I'm going to guess your lovely light picture is in UK at Epcot?
Maybe that's it with the ticker, I also made them from different websites so maybe that is it too.

Nope, it's from the Haunted Mansion!

Love our ADRs!!! We are going to eat some great food!! I'm very excited to try the whole appetizer and dessert way of eating around Disney LOL!!!

Hmmm...I think you will love Yak and Yeti solo...I had a great table and it was very nice and the place is gorgeous!! You will enjoy it, trust me LOL!!! I also think its great you are adding some room for flexibility!! YAY!!!!

Can't wait to see what our TA scores for us on Sunday YAY!!!!

I can't see the picture and I really want to see it!!! Especially if it is the HM I would definitely know LOL!!!
I think the appetizer/dessert plan is just perfect for us!!

I hope I like Yak N' Yeti. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to order for my meal but I do know that I will be trying those wontons you rave about!

Brown Derby twice???? WOW you love that place huh? Maybe I should try it! I always forget about the Plaza. Maybe I should check out the menu there.
I ADORE Brown Derby!! Adore, Adore, Adore! You must eat there. Jen is really looking forward to The Plaza. It sounds yummy and I've heard the ice cream there is excellent!

Great ADR list!

And I'm proud of you for letting go :)

Sending your TA some happy ADR booking vibes!
Thanks! Let's hope so. I'm not too worried about any of them except Le Cellier and maybe a teeny bit about 1900 Park Fare. :rolleyes1

WOOT finally able to see the picture and I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THAT IS LOL!!!! MUUUAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
:lmao: I think you were with me when I took it and I even said it was going to be a good where in Disney! :lmao:

Great ADR list. I wanted to mention that a good place to eat on your own would also be California Grill, Jiko or Flying Fish as all three of them offer bar seating at the open Kitchen. You could watch the chefs and this might make you feel less comfortable beeing on your own. :thumbsup2

And even though I am not the first: I am pretty sure that this picture is from the UK pavillion, the building where the sports store is in. I recognize those chimneys, I am sure they are themed after Hampton Court Palace in London:

and with regard to your warm fuzzies: I will always remember when we were standing in that little side street during our Keys to the Kingdom Tour and watched rope drop occur: empty Main Street went from quaint to buzzling with excitment, full of people with a purpose and a plan!
Wow! Those look so simillar to the Haunted Mansion ones. I wonder if they used the same inspiration for that building too!?

I am going to keep those three places in mind in case I want to add an ADR at the last minute!

I think we have very similar palettes when it comes to food. I love your ADR list and especially Brown Derby. My only problem is that I can't justify spending 2 TS on it when I'll only have 4 TS credits for the solo part of my trip......:sad2:
:rotfl: I find it hilarious that we have similar tastes in things! I was reading about your addiction to Dr. Pepper....I have one to Diet Dr. Pepper. I can't have soda anymore since my surgery and it kills me everyday at my work cafeteria since they have no added Diet Dr. Pepper to the vending machines!

What would you order at Brown Derby? Maybe if you and just got the cobb salad, it's $15, that could be an excellent way to enjoy Brown Derby! I agree though, as much as I love it, it's not quite worth the 2TS for me. I much rather pay OOP for Brown Derby.

I hope you get all your ADR's! I'm so addicted to the Epcot restaurants I haven't branched out much on my January trip, but since our trip isn't very long I want to get in as much theme park time as we can. One of these years we'll schedule a longer trip (it would have to be in May because both of us teach in college) and see more non-theme park stuff!
There is just so much to see at Disney, it's crazy. You could go twice a year and still not see everything. I just love that about Disney.

Great ADR choices as always!!! I am sure you'll be successful getting these -- or your TA will be successful :goodvibes

Brown Derby is a great choice, and I am glad you are making it to the AKL so you can see the lights!!! Don't forget to walk to both lodge/Villa entrances!!!
I will try to remember! I can't wait to see the AKL lights...especially that ostrich one!

Good for you for letting go and letting DU makes your ADRs. I hope you get everything you want, it looks wonderful!

As for the mystery picture, I also think UK...:rolleyes1
Nope, not UK. It's Haunted Mansion! I just hope that I don't freak out on Sunday morning waiting to hear that they have been made. :rolleyes1

I am pretty sure I just heard my stomach growling while I was looking at your ADR list -- yummy, yummy!

Awww, your poor stomach. Good thing you treated it to all that F&W food! ;) :rotfl: I knew you'd understand my OCD about the tickers.

I'm with Floss, looks like Mary Poppins style chimneys to me!
HBD twice! Double yumm! :cloud9:
It does, I can just see Bert jumping out of them! I am so excited about HBD twice. It's goign to be excellent!

Your refined ADR list looks great!! Yummy, yummy and sooooo much yummy!

The tickers being off would totally annoy me to no end!

BTW, we maybe meeting each other at MCO! LOL!! I haven't booked our flights yet but the flight I want to take lands at 10:40 am! So if you see a crazy lady screaming "LL!!!" with 9 other people in tow in the airport, that would be me! :lmao:

Nice ADR list! Looks like some of my favorites made it on there. It's funny, I think we're actually trying to decide between Kona and the Wave for our December trip. We haven't done either before for dinner (we've done Kona for breakfast though). I'll be interested to hear which one you get.

I ADORE your ADR list. So many wonderful selections. Brown Derby 2x?? :worship: I've been dying to try The Wave. Jiko- drool. Le Cellier - cream cheese mashed potatoes -'nuff said. So many terrific options.

Y'all got room for one more in January?? ;)

I really love Kona but I've heard really good things about the Wave so I'll be happy with either one.

YES! I think you should join us! :thumbsup2 We can bump up the Wave to #1 choice if you'd care to join us!

Your ADRs look great. The Brown Derby is so great
I just love Brown Derby. It's such a classy place! :cloud9:

You're a PEPPER too?:rotfl2: I'm having one right now..sorry about not being able to have one...is that forever? I hope not.

I've only had the Cobb Salad and I think I've had the Filet as well. I would probably have chicken for lunch or the Pork Tenderloin for dinner.

I am a pepper too! :lmao:

They say it's a permanent thing with soda. I guess the carbonation is what bothers you. I can guarentee you that I will try soda again though. I love it too much. It's my friend.

You should totally go to Brown Derby and pay OOP. Just do it, you won't regret it. It's a nice place to dine solo. You know you want too! :rolleyes1

YES YES and YES again!!! We would love for you to join us!!!!!!!

So I used to be a pepper but I had to give it up on my way to the new and healthier me!!! Sometimes though if I think really hard on it I can imagine drinking one...and its oh so good LOL!!!

I really enjoyed the Wave on our last trip but my Dh was only so-so on it.

However, the blue lighting in the lounge they have makes for interesting picture taking.

I'm a pepper too. Although I have been known to mix it up.

With Mountain Dew.

LL I'm doing a digital media project for a bariatric surgery group right now. They said that soda relapse is one of the number one things people try early on that they aren't supposed to.

And apparently whatever happens is so bad that they never try it again? :scared1:

I don't know, they guy was explaining it to us but it is one of the post surgery things we are addressing in this online presentation....

Be careful!

Your plans are looking really great! Is your ADR day this Sunday? I hope your TA does a good job for you and you are able to snag everything.

I cannot allow myself to think of Disney food right now, it just makes my stomach growl and want to clean the cupboards!!! :rotfl:

I'm so sorry to hear about the difficulty with the band and all that....I hope it all goes smoothly on the 27th and you don't have to endure another surgery. :sad2: But, AWESOME NEWS on the weight loss!!!!! Congratulations!! You are looking fantastic!! I hope you are able to snag some great new clothes that fit well and that you like. :thumbsup2

Your ADR wish list looks great. I am looking forward to hearing if your TA does a good job for you.

Great ADR's. What's this?????......two dinners at BD???? Nice!

Yak n Yeti for lunch sounds great.

I loved LTT for lunch. I didn't get the fried cheese, but my sandwich was to die for. I am definately going back so Denny and I can split lunch because it was way too much food for one person.

Question....why the heck do my tickers show two different countdown when they are for the same date!?! My OCD is kicking into overdrive. It's making me bonkers.

All your ADRs sound really yummy. I also love the Plaza. I think I better go back and look at the rest of them again.

Oh yeah....toss up between Kona and the Wave. Really like both of them, but the tuna oscar I just had at Kona was out of this world!

Wow LL-I've been off the boards for 3 days_I'm impressed you aren't up to Version 5.0-:lmao:

Nice ADRs-two BD's and breakfast at 1900-you'll get to see Mary Poppins and Alice & Mad Hatter...:yay:

My last trip was 11 days and it still wasn't enough. This next trip we'll be back to 8 days because DD friend will have to get back to work, but if not for that I'd do 11 days in a snap.

Much good eating. All the ones in red we have not tried, so we'll look forward to seeing the pictures. We'll be eating dinner at Kona one week from today, and I'm very excited for that!

YES YES and YES again!!! We would love for you to join us!!!!!!!

I hope you guys do get to eat together. That will be fun.

I stopped drinking sodas long ago just for money saving purposes. I got used to water, and I rarely drink anything else but water any more. With pizza, I might drink a Diet Dr. Pepper, but with anything else, I'm pretty much water, water, water. It's hard for me to think of regularly drinking a sweet drink with a meal now, it's become such habit to drink water.

I'm not surprised I see Brown Derby on there twice. But my question is are you planning on eating the same meal or will you vary your menu choices?
