Disney Gives Me the Warm Fuzzies. January 2010 PreTrip Report. Update 11/6 Pg. 79

LL:

What an amazing, interesting day you had in Concord. Sounds like a lovely outing. Your pictures are beautiful, but that's nothing new. And you, my dear, look fabulous! You are smiling for ear to ear! You look happy, healthy, and full of confidence. Would I know that you had lost weight if I didn't know about your weight loss journey.?...I'm not sure. But I would certainly know there is something different about you! You Go Girl!

p.s. We have the same GPS and her name is "Ellie"!
Thanks MEK! I am really feeling good. It's amazing. :thumbsup2

Oh, your GPS is the same as the one that I share with my brother. We didn't name that one, but my dad's is named Priscilla, and she has an Australian accent. :)

I still really want to go to Concord. My parents like to take daytrips to Salem and they want to do a nighttime tour at some point, but maybe I can convince them that we should go to Concord at some point. I'm dying to see the Alcott house.

Your pictures came out soooo nice! I don't remember seeing the Mobile Tea Room on Facebook. It's so cute!
You must name your GPS!

I don't think I put the Mobile Tea Room on Facebook. It was just so cute, I really wish I could have tried one of their yummy desserts. :cloud9:

What a great mini trippie. I loved all those books. Another "wanted to be Jo" here. I can see the weight loss-great job!
Me thiks I need a GPS with a cool name and fun voice.
Thanks! GPS is really fun, I love to have it in the car.

Excellent mini trip report! Isn't it fun to use the GPS? I just used one for the first time the other day, and it was sort of sultry woman's voice. "Turn left now." "In 28 miles, continue." I get a kick out of it, I swear. :lmao:
Yes! It's so much fun to listen to their voices. :rotfl2:

LL!!
You plan on visiting Plimoth Plantation!!!!? We need to meet, if so!! I live only 5 minutes from there!!! Keep me posted on your plans, I'd love to meet you guys!!!:goodvibes
Hehehe. I will let you know. Marc's grandmother lives in Plymouth or Manomet technically so we will be down in that direction at some point in time. I'll keep you posted! :goodvibes

You were a history major?:thumbsup2

If I had to do it all over again I'd do the same==history all the way.

First of all you look simply amazing...yes I for one can tell you have lost weigth and you are carrying yourself beautifully!! I can't wait to see more of your progress. I have to agree with you though I never seem to see the weight loss in myself either...hopefully we'll be able to tell a difference come the fall trip in a few weeks!!!

Thank you so much for taking us along on your mini trip...after the day I had it was a perfect ending to my day to sit here relaxing and just imagine I was with you taking in all that wonderful history!!! Thank you for a great update!!

BTW my GPS has two names...Stanley (when it's a boy) and Shelly (when its a girl ) LOL!!

Thanks for all those amazing pictures!!! I feel like we got to go right along with you....looks like you two had a wonderful day together!!! I think you are looking MAHVELOUS DAHLING!!!! :goodvibes Tell me more about that friction stick you used.....I am very intrigued!!!!

WOW! Sounds like you had a very good touring Concord etc!! I love all the pictures!!

Yes I was. Too bad I never finished it. Ahhh...the foolish mistakes of the young.

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked the Min(nie) TR. I had fun writing it. And I love Stanley's voice. He has a good one!

It's like body glide but it's from bandaid. It worked wonders...especially since I didn't feel my hotspots after I put it on.

Here is a picture for you.

Thank you!!

Thanks for the picture.....hmmmm.....looks like I might be needing to add one more thing to my shopping list today!!!!

You know LL, I went back and looked at some of your pictures from your May TR. I definately see the difference and I think you need to start posting before and after pictures every week! :thumbsup2

I concur; I haven't seen pics of you for months since I've been gone and you look great, LL!

LL- I read your update last night...Loved it...was just too tired to compose sentences that make sense...

First-you look great in your photo-you can definitely see a difference around the waist...Kudos to you girl...:thumbsup2

Second-your photos are absolutely lovely...we were there several years ago and your photos brought it all back..I.love that bridge where the colonists and British soldiers met...Lovely and sad all at once...I'm sure with no idea that they were beginning the American Revolution...

Orchard House so charming...no temptations in all of those gift shops-huh?

I love history too...(I was a history minor...:goodvibes)

OMG-how cute is that little mobile tea mobile?...I think we need one of those at all historic attractions...

I thought i was the only one who named my GPS---mine's name is Chessie...and he's English :lmao:

Ummm I always wanted to be Jo too...We have a lot of Jos here...I wonder if it means anything?

(You have to get to Plimouth-so cool...:thumbsup2)

Oh-have you ever been to Salem? (once you get past come of the Kitschy stuff-it's really cool...and you have to see The House of the Seven Gables...)

I think I'm all caught up now. 3.0 looks like a lot of fun. I have done Big River at the Boardwalk a couple of times, but it's been so long I don't really remember anything about the food. I think I had a burger one time and I don't remember what the second. I seem to remember it being pretty good though.

Oooh, Plimoth Plantation is nice. I went for a field trip back in elementary school, and again a few years ago when my friend was down there for a vacation.

I meant to tell you this in my last post -- I can also see the difference in your most recent picture. :thumbsup2 And, if you're interested, pick up "Eden's Outcasts" -- it's a book about Louisa May Alcott and her father. I read it not too long ago and it was really interesting. I am also kind of a history nerd, especially local history, which is why I really like living so near to Boston.

I totally agree with this!! Before and After pictures will be awesome!! I think we should find a picture of us from May and do the exact same pose in January and then we can really compare!!!! What do you think???

I'm in!

3.0 looks absolutely fabulous and so do you! I'm so impressed with your attitude and how quickly you've bounced back from the surgery. I'm knee deep in a digital media project on that very subject, it's quite the committment!

I love the pictures of your trip to Concord, I would just LOVE to go there!

I know it felt great to be out and about. I'd love to visit there! I look forward to future mini-trip pictures, too.

You look great!!!
I wish I lived close to you (or you to me), and when my knee healed we'd go out for some rockin' awesome evening walks and both of us would shed pounds like crazy! You can't much beat talking Disney and dropping pounds all at the same time. When I can walk again, I've got about 60 to get rid of. Too bad all of us Disers don't live close enough to go out on evening walks together.

First of all- Happy Birthday!! I totally missed the boat on that one.
I didn't know you could change vehicles on a GPS!! I am totally doing that ASAP. Great mini-TR!!! I love Concord & you had some really nice photos. The broccoli soup looked SO good. I am a soup-a-holic. :rotfl:
You are looking awesome! :cheer2: I agree with MEK about weekly photos. You are an inspiration to me...I'm starting as of right now. I am the heaviest now that I have ever been & I NEED to lose 65 pounds AT LEAST. So thank you :thumbsup2 for being an inspiration to me.

Just wanted to say Hi! And Happy Belated Birthday! It looks like you have a good trip planned so far. :thumbsup2 We are hoping to go at the end of January/beginning of February if we can save some money. Seems like a good alternative to hot September. Good luck with recovering from your surgery and keep us updated with pics of your progress!

I just asked Marc if my GPS has a voice and he said " yes, do you want me to turn it on"? :lmao: I don't even know if I have a boy or girl......
Oh, I just asked and he said that I could choose, oh my, I can't wait, I need to check this out!:cutie:

Oh, maybe you have one with a male Australian voice that sounds like Hugh Jackman!!! Maybe that is why Marc has been holding out on you! :rotfl2:
