Disney Gives Me the Warm Fuzzies. January 2010 PreTrip Report. Update 11/6 Pg. 79

Working on possible ADRs while you are on a liquid diet is probably not the smartest thing ever but I have had so much fun today it's unreal. I've been fond of virtual eating this week (Thanks Paula for the term). I love it when Marc cooks his dinner since it smells so good, I poured over the Dominio's flier that came in the mail yesterday and yes, I have been looking at food porn too.

So my theory on this MEGA ADR list is that I made a list of every possible TS location that I would want to eat at with Jen. Now a few places that I want to go too didn't make the list because I want to go there with Marc or they just didn't feel right for this trip.

Now as far as how I will be doing with my Realize Band at this point, who knows. But I am confident that there will be something I can eat at every establishment. Jen and I have come up with a food game plan as well. We plan to do breakfast in the room or on the go most mornings. Jen will be bringing her plug in cooler so we can have breakfast items in our room. We will plan to do two breakfasts in the parks or resorts. For our other meals we plan to do TS Lunch and TS Dinner. I think I will be able to find healthier options at the TS and Jen and I just really love to sit down and really enjoy our meals. It's half the fun of our trips, just having that time to sit and talk and enjoy each others company. :goodvibes

In order for me not to over order or waste food, we've decided that we'll each order an appetizer and then we will split an entree. I am sure there will be times where we will order a dessert to share or maybe even our own since I don't like Creme Brulee as much as Jen. ;)

That being said...here is the ADR breakdown.

2 Solo ADRs for LL. Not sure what I want yet.

2 Breakfast Buffets in the parks/resorts.

2 CS Lunches on the days we have the breakfast buffets.

4 In Room Breakfasts.

4 TS Lunches.

5 TS Dinners.

So I basically spent about an hour making a list of every possible CS & TS place that I would want to eat at on this trip. Then I'm going to narrow them down....but that is another update.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Not that I go overboard or anything.

I plan on giving you a rough sketch of our itinerary, as much of an itinerary as you can have without park hours tomorrow. That way I will plug in the preliminary ADRs I think we want.

Any reviews or advice is much appreciated. Jen is making me plan all the ADRs! Talk about PRESSURE! :scared1:

Warm Fuzzies:

Jen: Singing along with it’s a Big Blue World during Finding Nemo.

LL: Biting into a Cream Cheese Pretzel.

I think you must be getting really, really tired of eating jello, LL, and I do believe you may have listed almost every restaurant on Disney property. :rotfl: They are all really good choices, though -- how will you ever narrow them down?

Awwww...you know what I really do love spending time with you!!! I really did enjoy our TS meals in May and the time we could just sit and relax and just talk...those were great memories!!!

I do love me some creme brulee don't I! C is taking care of the cheeseburgers and I'm taking on creme brulee around the World!!

Cough..hmmm...FRIED WONTONS...hmmm..Cough (thought I should interject there LOL)

What pressure...whatever you choose will be amazing and delicious NO worries from me!!!!!!

Great update Leslie!!

I'm really really really hungry. :rotfl:

Amazingly enough I have narrowed down quite a few just from when I wrote the list. I think I've got a pretty decent itinerary coming along so now I just need to plug them in. Of course once I get the hours and know when fantasmic is that will all change. :rotfl:

Hmmm...fried wontons? I wonder where they serve those? ;)

I love TS for that reason alone! I like talking and eating and relaxing when at Disney!!!

Okay, so I loved this update because we are kinda on the same page. I was just saying to my mom today that I need to make a list of the places that I'm thinking of eating at. We're each picking one place. My dad and my sister have theirs picked out, my mom has one and a backup in case it falls through, but I am all over the place. :rotfl:

I love Boma for dinner; I've never been for breakfast. I've been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner and definitely prefer the breakfast. We did dinner there for Kailyn's birthday last year, and I can't remember why, but I wasn't as enthused about it as I had been for breakfast the previous year.

Awesome list -- you have inspired me to list my choices. :rotfl2: I can't wait to see the narrowed down list!

All of us are going back, save Kyle who's turning 14 and is SO not into it right now. (Funny, as you'll notice he's having the best time in most of my pics from January!)

And I now totally get the cream cheese pretzel thing. Oh. Yum.

Okay your updates are just highlarious!!! I love hearing all about how virtual food is keeping you distracted, and you sound in SUCH good spirits given the surgery, etc. so I can tell that you are recovering!! That, minus the protien shakes and jello.... Hey, just PRETEND it is polenta... ;)

So anyway, I love those lists of restaurant choices!!!! MY list is always bigger than my DDP card allows!!! :lmao: So your tactic for ordering less seems like a good strategy! DH and I did that for lunch a few times! :thumbsup2

I loved hearing that my PTR "made your day" :goodvibes

Your fabulous WAY too much time on your hands entry made me laugh!!!!

Ooo! Ooo! Pick me! Pick me!

I'm trying to convince my DH to go Dec 2010 to either POR or ASMu suites if Alex is successful in recruiting his friend to come (it'd be six of us then). He says its highly unlikely that he'd get that time of year off work but for now I'm talking about it as if we're going.

:lmao: We'll see.

Is this for this year?? That is awesome!! :thumbsup2

Okay, DH has agreed to December 17-23, 2010-so now I am just waiting on the two of you. :rotfl: Is only stipulation was that he wanted to go back to CSR so he will have his gym, he loves to lift weights and enjoyed it when we went there in 2006. DS and I would sleep in and he would be back before we were ready to go. Worked fine and we went in June then so I havent seen it at Christmas. At this point I was agreeing to anything.

I am so excited I get to make a ticker!!! :yay::yay::yay:

I love your lists!!!

Yak & Yeti is yummy! Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, and Crystal Palace are three of our favorite character breakfasts! And Chefs de France and the Brown Derby are so good! I love Chefs for lunch, especially with a table by the window.

Kona Cafe serves my absolute favorite breakfast - TONGA TOAST!! When I expressed how much I loved it (I was VERY dramatic :rotfl2:) during breakfast at Kona, the server brought a copy of the recipe for me. Too bad she didn't know I can't cook :lmao:

You and Jen are going to have a wonderful time.

Did you book your trip with your husband yet?

I'm glad my list inspired you. After I posted this update I wrote out our itinerary. I'm pretty excited about how it is looking. I'm glad I could motivate you to pick your ADR choice! :goodvibes

That's awesome that you are going back. Where are you staying?

The cream cheese pretzel is literally OUT of this World yummy. *Drool*

:lmao: I am so happy that I can entertain you! It makes me feel useless as I slowly die from boredom. I am really looking forward to trying lots of TS places. I think that is 1/2 the fun of Disney!

WOO HOO!! I am so excited for you!! Can't wait to see the ticker.

I didn't get a chance to mention it to Marc before he left for work but I will. I think it would be wonderful to go down there at that time. Who knows if I can get to work with my work vacation schedule though. We'll see!

Jen LOVES Yak N' Yeti, I haven't been yet but I hear that there are some LOVELY light fixtures in there. :rotfl2:

We are booked for November 8 -16th at Port Orleans Riverside....but now I'm wondering if we should go back to December. :rolleyes1

We're booked at ASMovies, but that's subject to change... Originally it was for the two little girls, ambiance and all that. But we're thinking about bumping our Free Dining plan from quick service to regular dining and I think that requires a change to at least a moderate. Jose's not sold on it because none of the moderates feel 'kid friendly' and full of Disney paraphernalia, and this trip is supposed to be all about the girls... so we're debating. ;)

Oh I think the girls would just love a moderate!

I know, right! lol I keep trying to think of which moderate would swing Jose toward my way of thinking...

Love your warm fuzzies at the end of each chapter!!! I find myself doing the same thing when I am dealing with an obnoxious patient!

I am really enjoying all of your planning and now I am going to go back and read your trip reports!

Congratulations on coming through your surgery so well!! The third post op day is always the worst and then things go SO much better!!:goodvibes

Austin!!!!

:yay::yay:You will not be far from me!!!

That is so exciting! When I go visit Jen in Austin we can have a DIS meet!!!

WOO HOO! We are all total Mousejunkies!

I am only about an hour from Austin!! The Great Biscuit is in Central Texas also!! Sounds like this could be a wicked fun dis meet!!!!

Oooh, I forgot about the pirate pool! Operation: Resort Change, underway! lol

Ok, I've got one tab open to the dis boards, where LL is planning delicious Disney meals and one open to Weight Watchers online! I think virtual food is in my future too. At least virtual Disney yummies.:) You've got some great places listed. Good luck narrowing your list down.:thumbsup2

I'm so glad to read your recovery is going well! Sorry that you are so sick of Jello and all though...when are you able to eat real food again? The fact that your warm fuzzy was about food as well made me laugh....food really is on your mind isn't it?!! :goodvibes:
