So a little back story. This all started yesterday when I got an email from Disney for my upcoming trip in October and I noticed it had this in there, I had not noticed in the past that the Charge to room was going to be added to Disney MagicMobile (listed as coming soon when I clicked on Learn More)

This got me thinking that I wished I could add my Disney gift card to my apple wallet with all these new features being available with the MagicMobile. Being a DVC member I tend to visit Disney at least once a year, usually twice, and I like to buy gift cards throughout the year to have for our trips. I always buy my Disney Gift Cards either thru Target or some discounted place. If you have purchased them this way you know there is no way to add said cards to the Apple Wallet natively (I know there is an app you can use but not what I want to use). I've been using the Disney gift card . com website to combine my gift cards onto one card since you can have up to $1,000 on each gift card. I have read posts where people said they where able to add their gift cards to their wallet but no one explained how they did this so I'm hoping this helps someone.
One person posted that Rundisney had sent them an emailed egift card for a refund for a race registration and posted a pic showing that it did indeed have the add to Apple Wallet and Gpay right there. I have never purchased an egift card from Disney because I like my discounts. Reading that post it finally clicked in my head that maybe it's something that can only be done in the emailed gift cards from certain places like Disney (add to wallet does not show up on emailed gift cards from Target). I searched for gift cards on the Shop Disney app and could not find the egift on there, I had to go to the shopdisney website to find it. I typed in egift in the search bar and got this: https://www.shopdisney.com/search?q=egift&lang=default&isRegSearch=1 ( if that gets xxxxx out just go to shopdisney . com and type egift in search bar). You get two options, Mickey and The Child. I choose The Child and got a $25 egift card emailed to me (as much as it pained me not to get my discount lol). I was so happy when I got the egift card and saw that YES Add To Wallet or GPay is right there!

That's a screen shot from my egift card email. I am so excited that it can be done and it is The Child gift card pic on my devices. Bonus, I was able to add this new Disney egift card to the Disney gift card .com website and transfer the rest of my funds from my other card I have on there. The Disney egift card showed right up on my Apple Watch when I added it to the Wallet. No more carrying around gift cards for me. Side story, I was at MK on August 2nd and my little food and wine wrist gift card fell off on the 7 Dwarves Mine train ride. I had over $300 on it but thank god I had added it to the Disney Gift Card .com website and was able to log in immediately and transfer those funds over to another gift card number I had on there. I cannot stress enough what a great feature this is and it saved me from loosing over $300!!!
Some of you may already know this but I am thrilled that I finally figured it out. I cannot wait to just have my watch for most of this stuff on my next trip, especially food and wine!! I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has on this. Also, if you know of other places to buy Disney egift cards that have the Add to Wallet option please post it below, bonus if its a discount website!
