is there any way to put a Disney gift card onto a magic band while not having a hard copy of the gift card? In other words my friend wants to sell me DGC but lives far and I leave Monday, can she send me the codes or do I need the physical card?

If you already have a physical disney gift card, you can load them both into disneygiftcard.com and then transfer the balance to your physical card. You won't be able to load it to your magic band, but while there you can use it to pay down your charges from using your magic band.

Ok, I don't care about putting it on my magic band. It was just an option. As for not being able to put it on your room- that's not true, I worked at the front desk and we were always able to load the gift card onto the magic band as long as there was a credit card on file.

All I needed to know was if I could use the codes and not need her to mail the actual cards to me.

It's exceedingly unlikely that a CM at the front desk would type in the gift card without it being physically present. They wouldn't do it for a credit card, and they shouldn't donut for a gift card.

As previously stated, if you already have a gift card, you could transfer the balance using just the codes.
