I was thinking about purchasing some gift cards for my upcoming family trip to disney world. I was thinking about 500 dollars. Does anyone know if they can be used for restaurants also? Thank you

They can be used anywhere a credit card can be swiped, I believe.

So restaurants, yes, but not all food carts.

Yes, disney gift cards are accepted at restaurants in the parks, resorts and some of the downtown disney restaurants.

I sure someone will chime in, but I believe they are not accepted at TREX and House of Blues in DTD?

does anyone know if your can charge the downtown disney restaurants to your room...example can you charge your lunch at the earl of sandwich to your room or do they accept gift cards?

I believe Earl of Sandwhich did accept our Disney gift card.
