I was working at the Disney Store last night and read in the newsletter we receive that the Disney Stores are soon going to be selling Disney Gift Cards that can be used at the stores, disney online shopping and at WDW. I was really excited when I hear that! I believe it's going to start around May 1st.
My parents got me a gify card from the Disney Store for Christmas. I went to WDW in January and was able to use it there. I also bought some items online and in the Disney Store. Is the gift card you are talking about different?
Wonder if your Disney Store was doing some test marketing of the new cards? Sounds the same as the ones we will be selling starting May 1st..... Our store has been selling Disney Store only gift cards all along.
The cards in our Disney Store are NOT valid at the parks. I will have to take a look at the new ones. If they say they are valid in the parks I might get one of those instead of wads and wads of Disney Dollars. I am just nervous about those cards since some of them are only good in the stores. It would be a huge problem to get to WDW and find out the card won't work!
