DISNEY Frozen Fun LIVE at HS Starting July 5 UPDATED

That could be but why not see both if people are there for a week or more anyway? You could see the DHS stuff for a few days and the Harry Potter stuff for a few days and then still have time for the rest. I bet that some people will take advantage of both.

I agree. We are not HP people but after seeing/hearing about it from others, it is now on our list to do during one of our trips to FL. I'm all for a Cold War of sorts...let them both keep pushing each other to build, expand and improve.

The scary thing to me is that I understood every single thing you posted here. Non-skaters will think we are speaking Klingon. I play hockey, so this was a new language/world to me as well.

I seriously was done with "Let It Go" having listened to her sing and skate to it for almost a week straight getting ready for the show. I have kind of warmed back up to it again. Her theme for her competitive season was a Hercules medley - her coaches love Disney!

My daughter's team was Eastern Sectional Champs last year at the pre-juv level - but they weren't nationals eligible as per USFSA rules. This year she made the Juvie team that was National Champs last year - skating to Aladdin. I know they compete against the Chicago Jazz at Nationals.

As for the rotationals, she just started landing her axel this week. My wife and I kid about how much it cost us for her land that jump!

Good stuff.

Aw! Tell her congrats! The axel is a big one. It's a real accomplishment! I miss the ice. I had a really nasty fall on an over rotated axel onto my hip and I messed it up badly. Doctor said without the hip pads I was wearing I would have broken it. Ended up with a bad hairline fracture and a terrible bout of aggravated bursitis I am still dealing with. I fell in December. Preach the hip pads to that girl! I'm 21 with orthopedic knee braces for a patella condition skating did and prescription meds for my hip. My hip now gives out randomly so I fall. Plus physical therapy. Don't let her be me! Safety first! Okay I'll end my rant now haha. Skating is so amazing but it can really take a toll on your body if you aren't careful!

Really though... for frozen land I'll skate! I just won't jump haha
If they do it and you see a girl with pink skates that's me!

Our trip to WDW isn't until November but were going to Disneyland near the end of July for a week ... I hope they do something like this there : ) One can only hope!

I don't know how it could be done, but a M&G with Olaf would be great if he was sized to scale with A&E. I think one of the reasons kids love him is because he is little and childlike. The pictures of kids with a small Olaf would be precious. I have a deep respect for people who can imagine and then create what seems impossible so I'll stay hopeful that this is already on someone's drawing board. I'm once again thanking God for Walt Disney and all of the wonderful people who carry forward his great legacy. We love the movie Frozen, it's characters and music and will thoroughly enjoy a day of it at HS.

Thanks!

Sorry about the hip and knee. I hope you feel better and can skate like you used to. My daughter has her "butt pads" as she calls them and wears them religiously after seeing a few other skater take nasty spills.

She would love to skate at Frozen land too. If she's there, she'll be wearing her ice blue Frozen dress or a Skyliners jacket with Edea skates.

Hopefully crowds won't be affected too much the last week of August, but between this and the Villains event there's definitely possibility for an increase. I've noticed numerous people on the boards planning trips to attend these events.
I had everything planned out months ago, but there's been so many changes I succumbed to the idea of just doing counter service and canceled all our ADRs except one. That being said, I'm still so pretty excited to be there for both Villains and Frozen Summer, just going to have to tone down the compulsive planning and go with the flow :p

Hi... New poster... Just wanted to say I love the Frozen attractions at DHS! I hope they decide to do something Frozen themed during the Christmas season, since that's when we are going!

DHS has always been my least favorite park. I just don't think there's that much to do, even less for us now that we have a 3 year old!As a huge SW fan, I'd love to see a SW themed land, and love the idea of a Frozen expansion as well!

We are there 8 nights this next trip, were there 10 nights last trip. We haven't done the other brand on either trip. We won't till DGD is tall enough to ride 90% of the rides. While I love the other brand as an adult and DH and I have gone, it doesn't appeal to me with a younger child in toe simply due to the ride restrictions. I think a large part of the WDW guests are like us and are waiting a while for a trip across town.

This is great news! Also in the camp that I hope they extend through the holidays when we will be there!

Two days ag I decided to add two additional nights to my August trip in order to visit Universal (see DA, eek!) THEN yesterday I just added another night on to get more time at DHS for THIS! No MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS people! LOL!

But I'm super excited! DD is a huge Frozen fan, and I am too, so very excited to enjoy this together. :cool1:

I am most excited about the fireworks! We've never seen any of the special fireworks at DHS. Anyone have any suggestions on the best place to watch them and how early we need to stake out a spot?

If you want Hollywood Blvd. with a good view of the Hat and stage, you will need to find spots at least 90 minutes or more before the fireworks. If you don't mind not seeing the stage, viewing near Prime Time gives you an unobstructed view of the fireworks. For the last SWW fireworks, we left Brown Derby at 9:15 and walked to Prime Time and found great spots and no one crowded around us.

I WAS really excited about this, but between the addition of it and the change in the EMH I'm having to change our whole plan!! I had a perfect 3 day plan that did NOT involve a full day at DHS, but now the EMH have changed too so I have to re-do it ALL.

Does anyone think with Frozen being included in DHS and the Villian Party happening that Hans may make an appearance at the party? They are introducing Kristoff now so maybe Hans could make an appearance.

I had seen the Kristoff casting calls announced, but I've yet to see Hans, so I would doubt it.

OK, Disney - you suckered us into a late summer trip to experience this Frozen stuff at DHS!

Sadly, though, all of the FastPass+ appointments for Anna/Elsa meet and greet at MK are already filled. I am trying VERY HARD to convince my 6yo that she does not really want to waste 3 hours in line for 5 minutes with Anna and Elsa...

This is going to be soooo exciting for you summertime traveler : ) take lots and lots of pictures please and share with us!!

This is from **************.net There will be images projected on the Hat prior to the fireworks similar to the Castle projection show. The Hat is still visible from the Prime Time area...

“Frozen” Fireworks Spectacular – Everything wraps up at 9:45 p.m. when Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come together at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage for a grand finale to the day’s festivities, kicking off an awe-inspiring fireworks display set to the glorious music of “Frozen!”

The giant Sorcerer Mickey Hat on Hollywood Blvd. gets the full Frozen treatment with special projections of snow and ice images, in an eye-popping spectacular above Hollywood Blvd. Set to the film’s soundtrack, the fireworks show will feature special guests – including a very magical appearance from Elsa in which she will show how her powers flurry “through the air and to the ground” to produce magically icy blue and white gleaming fireworks.

Good luck with that... :) We were there in February when they were still at EPCOT. Thank goodness my almost 3 year old was content to see Elsa on the other side of the rope from the gift shop. Phew. We will not be so lucky this next trip in December.

Keep trying and keep looking!! I booked two days ago for a 9-day stay in mid-August and found an A&E FP for our LAST day there. We need to leave the park by 2pm -- the FP is for 1:20. :goodvibes

So keep checking! This happened to me during our last stay, too. I looked and looked and looked -- and one FP popped up 30 days before our trip!
