On the recent DL Podcasts, it was discussed that the current fireworks show would/could be discontunued and replaced by the old show... but then they made mention that DL may halt fireworks for up to 6 months to relocate the launch site away from the Star Wars construction....

Anyone know anything about this?

My DD and her DBF are going to be there in mid Sept and want to see the DFF show.... or at least some fireworks!

Thanks for any info!:daisy:

Holy smokes. I think there'd be riots! I'm going to be so disappointed if they halt fireworks.

At this point there is no official word on what will replace the fireworks, but Disney has released the date of 5 Sept as the last day of the 60th entertainment. This may or may not include the current fireworks program.

Conjecture says that the current fireworks are pricy and will likely be replaced with something cheaper to produce. Also, there are those who are saying that the fireworks may be special events only or that they will completely stopped for a period of time.

Until Disney releases the entertainment schedules for Sept, we really won't know. So it's a waiting game.

As others have said, it's entirely a rumor at this point. Historically (2015 not withstanding), fireworks were only presented on weekends (Fri, Sat, and Sun) during the non-peak season. And on nights when there were MHP, a special (party-only) fireworks show (Halloween Screams) was presented instead. Also, DLR historically switched over to the Christmas fireworks show in mid-November (through early January). So it's possible that those seasonal changes will still occur, which means Disneyland Forever might only run on a very limited basis after Labor Day.

Just saw this online. Looks like the 60th fireworks are going away and being replaced by these. No mention of PTN either. :(

On select, non-Mickey’s Halloween Party nights, guests visiting Disneyland will enjoy a special treat: the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks spectacular. In addition, the dynamic “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” will march down Main Street, U.S.A., each day throughout Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. - See more at: http://disneylandnews.com/2016/07/1...t-sept-9-through-oct-31/#sthash.96c1c7m3.dpuf

Maybe I need to reconsider our end of September trip. Couldn't get out during the 60th and had really hoped PTN and fireworks would be continued...but seems like not.

Not sure its worth it at this point to go. Ugh.
