Disney for New Year's!

My gf and I are discussing at this very moment taking a trip to WDW from Dec. 31 - Jan. 5. Ack! I didn't think we'd be able to go again until summer of 2009! So, naturally I'm very excited. However, she tells me that I can't start planning this trip until after we come back from Vegas in August. We both love WDW & Vegas, but I'm the Disney freak and she's the Vegas fanatic. I asked her if I was at least allowed to discuss it on the DIS and she gave me the "of course". Whoo hooo! So, I'm very excited at this possibility. Has anyone else been for New Year's and are the Christmas decorations still up during this time? Anyone?

I haven't been to WDW at the holidays, but that's usually when we go to Vegas!!!

My DH and I will be there from Dec. 19th - January 1st. This will be our first time during the holidays, but we've researched this A LOT. Decorations are up from Thanksgiving through New Year's. so, you'll get to see some of them, if you arrive early enough on the 31st. I hope you get to go.

I don't think the Christmas decorations will be down yet. I'm going Dec 23-Jan 3. Congrats on your possible upcoming trip!!!
