Disney for $25 a day?? How can this be??

Has anyone ever seen the ebook on this site http://www.disneydiscount.info, and do you have any opinions/information/comments on what it is? We're planning our first trip for August of this year I know, hot hot hot!! And I think for a family of four - even with DD8 and DS5 - expecting to pay only $100 per day for all of us is stretching things, and maybe the truth, just a little far.....

I really cannot imagine how anyone could do disney for 25.00 a day...
unless maybe they dont eat or drink anything! lol!
shoot... we spend more than that per day on snacks/drinks while we are at the parks!
It says on the site, it is 20.00 to get the ebook.... dont think I would pay that unless I knew someone who had used it and said it worked... of course, it also says they have a 100% money back guarantee... so who knows?
Be sure to let us know if get the book and if the info seems real!

Most of the "super-discounts" and "free tickets" that these places explain to you involve time share presentations- in which case you do not need a book to find them - simply put a search in for "orlando time share special". The book is cheap enough that it probably doent matter but the old "if it sounds too good to be true...." definately applies.

I would not trust these people at all. I went to their site.

First of all there is no contact information at all. Next I clicked on their "privacy" link and got an error, as if there is no privacy statement. I clicked on their disclaimer and they state (basically) the the information is used at the user's risk and they do not guarantee the accuracy of the information.

I also went to Network Solutions and did a "whois" search. It came back that the registration name was private, the domain host is in Arizona and the ISP is in Wisconsin.

In addition, it appears that the only way to receive the book is as a downloaded or e-mailed file which you would have to print yourself. Since everything will be elctronic, I wonder why they want an address.

One last thing. They say guaranteed but do not say what they guarantee. Their disclaimer denies you will be able to get anything out of this book. Also, there is no information about how to get money back. Possibly the 14 refunds they claim are people who went to their credit card companies and complained.

Sure it's possible!!
Timing is everything. Simply work at a job where you become very valueable...valueable enough your company transfers you to central Floriada and pays for the move. That gets you to FL without paying airfare or renting a car.
Once you get to FL go to all the timeshares you can find and do all the presentations using your old address since that is still on your IDs...each time choosing WDW tickets for your time.
For meals simply eat at your new home before driving to the parks. For lunch there is that good ole standby canned corn!! And for dinner you can splurge for a meal. If expensive souvenirs are absolutely needed then skip dinner and eat at home.
Costs
Gas $2.50 per day
Canned Corn for a family of 4 $2.00 (For a free spoon and napkin simply pick them up at any counter service restaurant)
Water is free from water fountains!!
Parking $7.00 (Even this can be avoided by parking your car near an off-site hotel that has bus service)
Dinner you'll have $88.50!!!!!!!!
Souvenirs? Slim dinner down to pay for souvenirs or eat another delicious canned veggie for dinner!

So actually a family of 4 could do WDW for only $13.50 if they would simply bring in 2 cans of veggies per family member.

PS Don't forget a can opener!!!!

If $25 is just spending money excluding tickets & resorts, and you don't buy breakfast, and you only stick to counter service, you can get by with $25. When Q&C vouchers still existed, you definitely can eat for $25 a day.

Free tickets usually involve timeshare presentations.

You can get the same hotel prices for WDW area (which is quite a large area) for cheap by priceline ($40 for Doubletree Club right outside the DTD gates) or go to the cheaper motels/hotels like HoJo, Travelodge, etc.

On her site she says cheap rental car. Again, with priceline we were able to get Hertz for less than $10/day unlimited milage.

I think the key here is that as long as you are willing to take some time to do the research, you can do Disney on a budget. I think the problem is many people either don't want to or are just discouraged when they have to plan a vacation, so things like this give them an easy way out.

You are too funny! I actually do have all the reservations finalized for our trip in August, and am waiting to schedule ps at the 90 day mark. I'm NOT going to any time share presentations, been there, done that! Too many catches, imho. I think I'll save my $20.

We've budgeted approx. $140 per person per day to include airfare, hotel, food, car, parking, and misc. But I'll keep the corn in mind!!!

Without having seen the information, I'd bet that they're going to start with something along these lines: Buy an annual pass, then figure that if you use it two days per week for the whole year, your per-use cost would be about 2.50. That's just not realistic for the great majority of us. Most of us don't live close enough to visit the parks twice a week, so we can never get our ticket prices this low.

Or perhaps they're going to suggest the time-share thing to get free tickets. But I'd have to hear TWO time-share presentations to get four tickets for my family. That "costs" me at least three hours of time, not to mention the cost of getting to Florida and staying there.

Once I picked up a book about Europe on X amount per day. One of their oh-so-useful-suggestions was to hang around outdoor bistros and watch for people to leave food on their plates. They also suggested that you could stand by the conveyor belt in cafeteria places and find unfinished food. The idea was that you could swoop in and grab their unfinished half a sandwich -- yeah, right, I'm really going to do that! I was glad that was a library book, and I didn't actually PAY for that information.

No, realistically, we cannot go to Disney for $25 per day. If you assume that transportation, tickets, and hotel costs are already paid, you can easily make it on $25 for food and spending money . . . but total costs? No way.

Welllllllllllllll OK It is vacation so I guess you could have a smorgasbord! For a family of 4 you could go to Aldi's and buy 2 veggies and 2 fruits then each person would get 1/2 a can of each.

I remember when I first got here someone posted about doing Disney for practically free....but this was the way it worked.

She had APs. She counted anything after 10 days (when she figured the APs were paid for) as free. Parking was free with the AP.

She stayed with either friends or family in Central Florida.

She packed meals. Since she'd feed the family anyway, the cost of groceries was a wash, so eating was free.

She flew on either frequent flyer miles or a family member working for an airline (both "deals" have been posted), so transportation was free.

So she had gas and a rental car to pay for.

Now me, I don't get enough vacation time to make an AP worth while. I don't have family I feel I can impose on in central Florida (I have a cousin down there, I see her for four hours every three or four years - we aren't close enough for me to invite my family to camp on her floor). Neither my husband or I work for an airline or fly frequently enough to get frequent flyer miles. So the only thing we could have even done was the packing meals part.

(The canned corn thread was nothing to the butane based MRE thread - hot food at Disney from your local Army surplus for a few dollars a meal!)

That sounds like some first-class rationalization to me! APs do cost money. If I stay with friends or family, I'm going to be polite enough to bring them a nice gift or at least take them out to dinner while I"m there -- that costs money. I always spend more on vacation groceries than I do at home because I buy more pre-packaged things. Someone had to fly those original miles to get the "free miles" -- that cost money. Even people who don't buy souveniers spend on a new swimsuit, sunscreen, film, and other incidentals for Disney trips. Finally, being away from your job "costs" money or vacation time.

There are lots of things that you can do to make a Disney trip less expensive, but I'm not really buying the idea that you can do it for free.

Pudding or jello packs, LOL. What about protein? Tuna pouches w/crackers? Or a super deal on Lunchables.

Our last vacation to Disney was in 2000 - me, DH, 17mo DD. We got two 4-day play passes for $99 each (DD was free), stayed offsite w/coupon, used free shuttle bus to WDW, packed our own food we kept in room fridge, etc., and spent under $400 for 5 days, gas included. That's still a lot more than $25/day, and we got no souveniers or anything.
