Disney food prices - Fort Wilderness vs other locations?

Many years ago, we stayed in one of the Fort Wilderness cabins. Since many people are camping there and buying prepackaged foods to use at their campsite, the prices for things like bread, PB, jelly, cereal, etc. seemed cheaper than at other stores at the various Disney hotels.

Is this still the case? We're staying at Bay Lake Towers this time and will be visiting Fort Wilderness anyway so I'm wondering if I can pick up a few food items cheaper while I'm there.

I won't have a car so I'm limited to on-site options.

I'm pretty sure all the prices are standardized now. Last time we looked around the Trading Post at FW, their food didn't seem any cheaper than anywhere else.

Before you buy anything at Disney you can check the HESS station across form Pleasure Island at DTD -- get off at the PI stop and walk away from PI-- you will see the hess station if you look left before the bus turns into the PI parking lot...
they have some of the basics a lot cheaper then disney

Both will shop for you from your list. They deliver to the Disney resorts for a fee. It might be cheaper than buying from the Fantasia Market over at the Contemporary.

Are you flying? The last time we flew I packed in our suitcases (in between the clothes) small packs of cereal, granola and fruit bars, small juice boxes
(in zip lock bags) trail mix, crackers, oatmeal packets etc. These things do not weigh a lot but sure save a lot of money. In my carry-on I brought a small jar of peanut butter. When I saw the prices of these things at Disney, well Basically, most mornings all we bought was milk and some fruit from the food court for about $5 and breakfast was done for 4 people as well as most snacks during the day since we did not have the DDP.

When we stay at the Beach Club Villas, we've been known to go to the Hess station near the Boardwalk. Thanks for the reminder! I'm sure I can catch a bus from MK to the Boardwalk or even to PI and get to a Hess.

I shipped a box with some non-perishables - that will take care of some of our needs. I was more worried about perishables that need refrigerated, like milk. We also LOVE Uncrustables but hate the price Disney charges. They are just so darn convenient.
