Has anybody used either the Disney Florist or Pixie Gifts to give a gift basket? We are traveling with a couple who will be on their honeymoon and I wanted to have a basket delivered to their room w/champagne, glasses, candles, snacks, etc. and wanted opinions on the different vendors.

I am also open to suggestions of what else to put in there.

Thanks!!

Hi,

I used Pixie Gifts on our trip 2 weeks ago. I was very happy with the presentation that they put together. If you contact Cindy, give her all the info on the happy couple, likes... dislikes... etc. I gave her the run down on my family and she came up with some great ideas. Don't forget the mickey groom hat and minnie bridal hat, they are so cute.

That's so nice of you to do something like this!

WE USED THE DISNEY FLORIST FOR OUR WEDDING AT WDW AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL!! SHE EVEN CALLED SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING WHILE WE WERE AT THE BW TO TELL ME THAT SHE WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE LILLY OF THE VALLEY'S THAT CAME IN AND WOULD USE ROSES FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! OUR FLOWERS WERE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Being a florist I have used Walt Disney Florist on more than one occasion while at WDW. The last trip, I called and talked to them directly before sending them the order on the computer and the woman that I talked to invited me to come and take a tour of their facility while we were at Disney. I did, and it was great. I have never been disappointed with any of their gift baskets that they have done for me.

Hello everyone!

I am still pretty new to these boards - my husband & I will be staying at the Polynesian Resort this December. I was looking for some neat ideas that might be Christmas related (small tree, etc.) - I saw that you placed an order via computer - is there a website you could steer me to?

It would be really great if I could get an idea on-line of what might be offered during our stay. Thanks in advance for any info!

Emily:)

Unfortunately...I don't think so. It's kinda odd. They do have info they can send you via the mail though. I wish they did have a site....I can't imagine why they dont.

The Disney florist has always been great for me. We have even had stuff sent to us on our honeymoon and engagement trip as well as this July annaversary trip and the stuff has always been great. The flowers have lasted well past out 2 weeks there and the baskets have stuff in them we still use long after our vacation. I will put a link below that has a page to go to with some pictures of stuff we got. It is towards the bottom of the page.

I've used them for floral arrangements and fruit/gourmet snack baskets. They are WONDERFUL, and I was very happy with the quality. Their prices are in line with any of the national floral places (FTD, 800-FLOWERS, Teleflora, etc.)

I've both used and received gifts from the Disney Florist, and they've all been outstanding! They do beautiful floral arrangements for reasonable prices; fun or more 'serious' gift baskets with great flair. They can do what you request, or you can choose something from their list. I'm sorry that I don't have their website any more - I DID have it, before my computer crashed in early July and I lost a lot of info...

I'm not familiar w/ the disney florist or pixie gifts but I did contact the GF kitchen and had them send over some specially-designed Mickey chocolates to some friends staying at Fort Wilderness. They were wonderful! They sent over (according to my friends) about 2 pounds of different sized and shaped Mickey's. The cost was about $60, but BOY, were my friends ever surprised and impressed. A little ingenuity really goes a LONG way!

thanks to all that responded. I have been emailing back and forth with both the WDW florist and pixie gifts. Both are very prompt with their response and seem very reasonable price wise. The only problem is that I wanted to include the refillable mugs at the resort they will be staying at but the WDW florist can't do that - pixie gifts can.

This site has pictures of the baskets that can be done by Disney Florists. They will also do other baskets for you. HTH!

kdibattista -

Do you have email addresses for the florits and Pixie Gifts? Is there a place to find this info?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanx!

Hookdonwdw - thanks so much for that link!!!! It's great!!!

arizonacolbys - check out the link above for picture from the WDW florist. The email is sue.aponte@disney.com. Pixie gifts has a website www.pixiegifts.com and the email is cindy@pixiegifts.com

I had a response to my original email from the Disney florist within a few hours and from Pixie Gifts within a day giving me wonderful ideas.

WDW florist will email or fax you the price list if you need it. Just ring them

I used WDW florist just this week to send a gift to my sister and her family at the FQ. WDW Florist offers a tote bag filled with all kinds of munchies; cheese and crackers, fruit, cookies, etc. I had them include two plush, two balloons - my sister was thrilled. She said it was chock full of things to eat.
