Has anyone had any experience with a delivery of a Disney Floral and Gifts package to a restaurant? The website lets you choose a restaurant and a delivery time, but I'm wondering how well it will work. I want to order this http://disneyworld.disneyfloralandgifts.com/product/my+storybook+moment+–+mickey+mouse.do?sortby=ourPicks&refType=1&from=Search for my daughter prior to our dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's at 6:20 PM. I would normally have something shipped to the hotel room, but it seems like the hours of delivery are 9AM-9PM and I don't want to sit around the hotel on our first day just to accept delivery of this package. So I was wondering if anyone had had some previous success of getting a gift delivered specifically to a restaurant. 100 dollars is a lot of money to spend on something not showing up in time, so I could always get it mailed to my house, but then I would need to pack it/not ruin it/not ruin the surprise prior to travel. Thank you!

You don't have to wait in your room for delivery. The front desk will notify you when it's delivered to the resort if that helps

Individual gift items including floral: Disney Floral & Gifts delivers these items to your resort. The resort team delivers to your room between the hours of 9am to 9pm. Please note: for delivery on your arrival date, since your room is not pre-assigned, the gift will be delivered after your arrival.

That doesn't help this particular situation because I can't be at my resort prior to going to Chef Mickeys and 9PM is considerably after the 6 PM dinner time. To me that's too much of a risk plus a hassle for me to have to leave Magic Kingdom, travel back to the resort, then travel to dinner at Chef Mickey's but not guaranteed that it will even come before I need it. That's why I'm asking about having something delivered to the restaurant itself.

The resort will place the delivery in your room. You don’t need to be present. I’ve done this a few times with no issues. Unless there is a special reason to have it at dinner, you can have the surprise waiting in your room for when you return.

The item is a "meeting Mickey for the first time" thing, so it's got an autograph book, lithograph to get signed, and a few other items. I figured it would cool for her to have for her first character meal.

Why not have it delivered to the resort the day before your reservation? Or honestly, for $100, I would just order a few items from the Disney Store (autograph book, pen, hat, etc) prior to going, perhaps put them in a Disney gift bag and then put it out in the room when she isn't looking and tell her "Mickey sent them". Or, can you sneak into a store at WDW that day and just get a few things and surprise her with them at the restaurant? I wouldn't stress over the delivery of this item if you can replicate it and the experience on your own for much less money.

Ok I reread and saw this was on your arrival day.

I think that is the issue, right?

I seriously don't think that they would deliver late unless it is a same day. I would bet that they do resort delivery very first thing. But...

If it must be there arrival day, 100$ is a lot to pay to have it there at the restaurant. I would get it at home and gift it either early or at the resort

It's. Really cute

Yep, I tried to cram a little too much Disney Magic on her first day! I think getting it delivered to home and just bringing the key items with us is probably the best (safest) bet.

And cheaper!
Enjoy your trip, and try not to make yourself too crazy wanting everything perfect. Just by being there, and being together, it will be fantastic

It is a very cute gift. I would suggest bringing a black sharpie for signing the picture. The pen won't show up nearly as well

Please do come back after your trip and show us the signed mat and your little one. Can't wait to hear about the trip

If there was an option to just buy the mat art, I would have opted for that, it's really the thing that stuck out for me.
