Disney First Right of Refusal

My DW and I took the plunge on a resale yesterday with our down payment. We are now waiting on Disney to decide on their first right of refusal. Does anyone know how frequently Disney decides to buy back the points instead of allowing a resale to proceed? We hope they don't on ours. We bought 100 points at Boardwalk. Wish us luck. :mickey:

I don't think "frequency" is the key.. Price probably is. There is a thread somewhere on here where they are tracking the price points. If you tried to get a great deal at BWV I think that's tough. If you paid the going rate you might do just fine.

I just joined the Family and bought a resale at OKW for $72 a point. The person I dealt with at TSR told me that was pretty much the bottom $ that Disney would let them go through at without exersising ROFR.

I'm looking forward to coming home and meeting friends!

100 BWV pts : any banked what price per pt?

OKW $72 pt: how many pts, any banked, etc

It's not only price, but size of the contract. If this going to be the buyer's first contract with DVC, then the smaller the contract, the more likely that DVC will exercise its ROFR. 100 points is "in between" -- truly small contracts (25 points) almost always get ROFR'ed. Contracts over 150 points seems to be much safer (at that point it is indeed only price that matters).

Our contract is for 100 points @ $84 per point. There aren't any banked points and we get them Feb. 2006.

My OKW contract is for 220 points with 188 coming in Feb 06. This will allow me to visit at LEAST twice a year and maybe more

I can't remember a time when BWV and BCV haven't been white-hot. I think that bode's well for the rumored CRV...
