hello!

So I've just heard about the photography options and I think they sound reasonable for the price-I'm thinking of getting hem done for the family Christmas presents as it's much cheaper than having a photo session in England!!! Plus it'll be a nice way to remember the holiday and hopefully have some great pics of the girls!
So I was wondering if anyone here has done it before and if they would like to share pictures?! Is it worth it?!

We're staying at kidani so I'm thinking of the photo package for animal kingdom lodge-but I have no ideas of any photo opportunities there... If anyone as any experience of the resort and could suggest some photo backdrop ideas-please let me know too:lovestruc

TIA:wizard:

I was thinking of the $150 mini session as the rights are included and don't mess too much with the holiday planning already done! If the portrait session was in the Magic Kingdom - I would think otherwise!!!

I'm not sure who the photographer is-maybe a photopass person?!? But I think it's a cute idea and as I've said cheaper than a photo session in the UK!! And hopefully in a great setting:lovestruc

If you are not looking at the in park options have a look at the local photographers there are a few that come highly recommended on the weddings board. They will shoot at the resorts and know the places to get the best shots.

I looked into using Randy Chapman but DH wasn't keen on the photo shoot idea so didn't go through with it.

Thanks Elise79 for the recommendation- I just think for the money it's not bad value! I like the idea of it being through Disney as I don't have to arrange anything other than a time and turn up. I don't want a whole 'studio sit' going on as I'm not sure dd20 months would cooperate! The photo package to buy after is also quite cheap! I'm also hoping that if its with a Disney photo person they would have experience of the resort as its only 1 out of 5 they offer it for...
I would be tempted for the poly too but it would take more organising - as we're at AK I figure that we stay in resort!

AKL is beautiful with lots of photo opportunities. However, realistically if it's only a 20 minute session I imagine you're not going to be at multiple locations. I'm sure they already know the best spots!

We have done the mini photo session at the Poly a few years ago and at the Beach Club 2 years ago. We have some great photos of the kids and think it is well worth the cost.

We are booked for photos at the Grand Floridian next month and just to let you know when we were booking the locations are not offered every day. It depends whether you want am or pm and which resort which day of the week will be available.

Hiya

We have just booked Randy Chapman for a family shoot at the beach club (we are also staying at AKL). It worked out about 200 dollars for around an hour, he has already suggested good times of day and has been very helpful with all our questions. I think it would be worth checking out his website to see what you think. We know a couple who had their wedding shot by him and the photos are amazing, they said he gets to know your personalities very quickly and shoots accordingly. I am really looking forward to it, now all I need to do is coordinate our outfits!

Whatever you decide will be fab.

Thanks for the replies:) m1ckeymouse-if you don't mind me asking-does randy chapman price also include the rights to the pictures and and flash drive with them on?! When i managed to get through to Disney - shoots at AK lodge seem to only be a wed am (7:30:crazy2: was suggested!) and there's only one particular slot which we could go for (although it's probably gone by the time we get to call next week:() so it may not happen this trip... Oh well something else to book next time and to prepare for!!! I'm still hopeful for this holiday however as I think it would be cute with dd5 and dd20 months!!

Thanks again

Hiya

Yes, I believe we get all of the shots on a CD. Randy gave us various times, but suggested 9am would probably be best due to the heat and position of the sun. There are plenty of kids shots on the website and one of the reasons we went with him was because we can get shots of us seperately, I really want some of my son before he grows up anymore! Also he seems to be good at fun shots and portraits too.

hope that helps, have fun.

Hi, we had our wedding photos taken by Randy at the Yacht Club 8 years ago. Great guy very good price we were happy with our photos. He gave us all the rights to the photos, printed them all and gave us a copy on disc. Id recommend him any day
