Disney Finds at Goodwill Today!

:cheer2: yea! So happy for you! Once I found a brand new disney tshirt for our dd at a garage sale for $3. It had never been worn and I was over the moon about the find! It was a bit big for her but she quickly grew into it.
It ended up being one of her favs.

AARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!! Are these the larger size - maybe around 20" long? I looked for the stuffed safari Mickey ALL OVER WDW on our vacation in June. They had a smaller size, but not the larger size. Evidently they were discontinued. Congrats on a good find!

It is the adult size one. My 3 year old wanted to wear it, but I can't make it small enough to fit her.

Congrats on your awesome finds, OP! :cool1:

I went to our fancy new Goodwill store once and was very disappointed. They had a lot of things that looked like they were cleared off of a retail store and sent to Good will, but the prices weren't much different than what you might find at the retail store! The furniture and such was over-priced IMO for a "thrift" store, also.

Over here, too! The thrift store near me (for Veterans) seem to be raising their prices more and more. I'm not sure why but from when I first started shopping there (last year) until a couple of months ago, their prices have gone up, noticably. Plus, it's an all cash deal, they won't take CCs/Debits - I'm trying to stop going in to shop, I just go to drop off our donations and make a bee line for the exit now. :rolleyes1

Yesterday I found 2 DLRP light up spinning toys for 50 eurocent each! Those are in the suitcases for our trip in three weeks, saves me a lot of money.

Our goodwill has an auction every Saturday. They have a glass case with bid items in it. At least once a month you are guaranteed a Disney auction. It will be a lot of different Disney items. Sometimes it will be character themed. Sometimes it will just be a jumble of Disney stuff. Two weeks ago it was a Disney office set including Mickey mouse lamp and the marble Mickey desk set. It went for $30. This week it is a Pooh theme. There are two shelves full of Pooh stuff (blankets, frames, display stuff like snowglobes).

I constantly find big Disney plushes there and a couple of weeks ago it seems an entire family donated their Mickey ears. I bought the Jack Skellington ears for $0.75 and have every intention of wearing them on my next trip. They even still had the original price on them!!

I am always amazed at what Disney items I find at Goodwill. Shirts are always the most common find and my kids are thrilled. My 10 year old son has a Mission Space t-shirt that he wears 3-4 times a week (funny - not crazy about the ride). He can't wait to wear it in a few weeks when we go to Disney.

not sure which thrift store here in town that my grandmother went to a few weeks back but she found a disney purse for me that is too cute. its ivory and black with snow white, little birds in all colors, red apples. strap is belt and buckle style with 2 different size apples attached to zipper. looking inside the bag after getting it i noticed it was a disney couture bag. not sure as to when it was released but couldn't believe she found it. i have only been able to find the larger size tote bag in same design on amazon but it doesn't show a price. have been unable to find this particular purse anywhere online.

Yesterday I found a set of "Four Parks, One World" pins, still on the card they come on at our local kids consignment shop. They were only $3.00! :thumbsup2

I intentionally hunt the Thrift Store for Disney...

I now have about 30 Disney drinking glasses (square and round) :woohoo:. The round ones seem to have come from a park, but all the square ones were a McDonald's promotion in 2000. I've paid anywhere from 69 to 99 cents for each glass. Oh...and I have a glass Mickey mug, no idea where that one is from though.

DD12 found two adult size yellow rain ponchos with Mickey Mouse on the back, paid $5.99 for those. A little expensive, but figure they would cost way more then that in the parks. Plus we live in WA, so either you go out in the rain, or you don't go anywhere.

What else have we found...Mickey Mouse art work, clothes, coffee mugs, soup mugs, looks brand spanking new Pooh Bear Cookie Jar (which I have now decided I'm going to collect Disney Cookie Jars and display them on the top of my cabinets-we have a MM one we use), porcelain 18 inch Snow White Ballerina doll ($2), knick-knacks, pins (I bought a 4-set of Jungle Book pins on the card for like $3),wall art, etc.

Yesterday I found a new how to draw MM and Friends pack, came with the book, markers, sketch book, and a pencil for $3. DD has drawn her Grandma a picture of the fab 5, Grandma is impressed enough that she wants to frame it (it really is pretty good).

I've passed on stuff too...like the MM tv (nice, but we don't need another tv :happytv:), radio/CD player, games (board and video), huge wall clock, stuffed toys, luggage, purses, etc.

Now I wish I could find ESPN stuff...
