After I read through it, I thought "Something is missing???" And then I realized that every other sentence WASN'T a cutesy remark or something in parentheses. In small doses those things are fine, but when it seems like every other sentence is like that it gets to be a bit much, and frankly, annoying. Loses the impact.

What was missing wouldn't be missed by this reader! Loved the shift in information and style of writing. Seems much more relevant and professional.

I can't believe they listened. Where Disney Files used to be about 5% DVC and 95% general Disney information, it is now about 75% DVC and 25% general Disney information. I just got the Summer 2012 issue today. Anyone else get it and see the difference? Thank you, Claire Bilby, Now just get rid of Ryan March (waste of page two).

They also listened with respect to requests for more DVC and resort specific merchandise. We were at OKW last week and there was plenty of both. I could grow to like them considering our opinions!

I've got a great idea. Why not change the name from Disney Files to Vacation Magic?

Well... The envelope was nice! That's all we got- an empty envelope. Not sure what happened to the magazine? Maybe it was so good the mailman "borrowed" it. I have contacted MS asking them to mail another to us. Sure hope they do after all the positive comments on here

i was going to suggest looking at the pdf on the DVC member site (you probably need to be logged in), but they haven't added the summer issue yet.

but i wouldn't mind if they just sent me the pdf (or link) and i could just read it on my pc or tablet...

Yes!!! I agree that the reduction in parentheses surrounding corny jokes was very much appreciated. Although most of us love Disney, we appreciate intelligent reporting. I think many Dvc owners take their membership very seriously and the magazine should reflect that.

Definately an improvement! We submitted a picture and were hoping to see it in this issue but no luck this time! It tied in nicely to the new cruise destinations so my DS was hopeful he would get in a magazine
