Just got the latest Disney Files and it's just so sad there is so little DVC news in the magazine. I'd still love to see reports from each of the resorts like they used to have in the older mag for DVC, what renovations are in process with a photo of the proposed look or information on dining at the resort. Now you just get a few photos and a short article of the newest resort to open and a few member photos and that's about it. Even Terri's column to members was mostly Disney marketing and so very little DVC news.

Since the more recent DVC news consists of taking away the reservation rights of resale purchasers, trying to raise points needed to reserve studios and 1BRs year round, adding a $6 fee on top of dues for using Bell Services, raising the price per point of a number of the resorts by 10% to 20%, raising the discounted DVC price of an annual pass by 15%, and telling all those BLT owners who made room reservations at 11 months out for July 4 that they now have to pay $99 a head to use the Top of the World Lounge, DVC probably decided it would be a little too much to re-emphasize all that good news in the Disney Files.

Well, when you put it that way...!

Other than the recipe for Morimoto's ribs, it was very disappointing. As with all things Disney these days.

Everything from Disney reads like a press release--a lot of vivid imagery and little substance.
