Disney Fantasy - technical issues?

Hello all! I’m - possibly - cruising on the Fantasy for the first time this December. We’ve done the Dream twice but wanted a longer itinerary and with the FCC we got from our last cruise, we were able to upgrade to a 7 day with no extra $$ out of pocket. Anyway, I know Fantasy and Dream are near identical but I’ve been reading about some mechanical/technical issues on the fantasy. Is that still an issue? Does anyone know what exactly the problems were? I saw that in 2019/2020 people were missing out on port stops bc the ship had to sail at a slower speed? Is that something they’ve fixed - over this exceptionally long hiatus from sailing? Anyone have any knowledge? I’m starting to second guess my choice to switch ships!!

We sailed on the Fantasy's New Year's Eastern Caribbean Cruise 2019/2020. There was nothing wrong with the ship (aside from the Fantasy's longstanding occasional aft vibration issues) and we stopped at every port on time.

Fantasy has had the annoying vibration issues in the aft cabins, which would be the most noticeable on the Eastern Caribbean itineraries in the winter. You would only experience them in the aft cabins. And if there were vibration, you wouldn't normally miss ports because it would imply their effort to make it to the ports.

That said, the dry dock last year in Europe has apparently addressed this issue.

As PP has said supposedly Disney used this time to fix the vibration issues aft, but until they begin sailing again it is just a rumor. Each time the Fantasy has had engine trouble Disney has resolved it quickly and it has only affected a few sailings; its not a consistent enough problem that I've ever been concerned sailing on her. I remember hearing about it running with just one engine at one point but it didn't affect the sailing afterwards so it must have been a relatively quick fix once they were in port.

We have done aft twice on Fantasy, both WC. There was vibration, but it was the same that we have experienced in other aft cabins on other cruise lines. One of them was during a tropical storm outside Cozumel, so they had to book around it for a new route. We never felt that it was as bad as some other have experienced. We actually like how it rocks us to sleep. This was before the latest dry dock.
