Disney Fantasy - June 17, 2017 - 11 night Southern Caribbean

FE stands for "Fish Extender" A fish extender is hung from your cabin door (see attached pic) and your fellow group members fill it with gifts. Families with younger children tend to be most active in FE groups but I assume any and all can participate.

I booked last week! I'm Gold and have sailed on the Fantasy before but I've never been on such a long cruise! I'm so excited! I'm going with my husband and our 2 friends. We are celebrating my birthday (late) and our friends' recent nuptials :)

I'm excited to learn about what additional offerings there are on such a long cruise. Maybe different meals at Palo and Remy? Maybe different activities and tastings on board? If anyone has any insight, I would love to hear it!

The longer cruises do have more activities available. Mostly more repeats of what's already available, but some "new" stuff. There are different menus every night (no repeats) and different shows each night.

The meals at Palo are pretty much set. Don't know for sure about Remy, but since the menu is variable, it could seem different, if you eat there more than once.

There's a champagne brunch at Remy that is to die for... If you have never done this and enjoy top shelf dining, I strongly suggest booking. We tried it for the first time in December and really loved it. I believe cost was $60pp with an option to spend another $35pp(??) for champagne pairings. They usually offer this during "sea days."

Mentions of Facebooks groups on DISBoards are not liked, but yes someone has and there are currently two of them. Try searching by ship name date in the form Month Day, Year. The one with the number of nights is the active one.

I just found the group. Thanks!

Dh and I just booked this cruise! It is just the 2 of us - no kids.

We would be interested in a Meet & Greet, but are not interested in the FE.

Hello Lucas... DW and I also will be "kid-less" and would enjoy meeting fellow cruisers.

Invitation to all who are interested in getting together.

We have a couple of sea days right out of port on this itinerary. How about Day 1 (6/18) 2pm in O' Gills?

Post a reply to let us know if you're in.

Hopefully it won't conflict with the Castaway Club reception. It's usually on the first sea day of any given cruise.

Good point... I will see if I can find out when the CC reception is scheduled and work around that. My guess is they will not have that schedule confirmed until we're nearer the cruise date, but as soon as I know, I will send something out. Keep an eye on this string.

Princess, I did not realize that you are on this cruise. I look forward to meeting the one with all of the answers.

Princess, you're on this cruise?! Can't wait to meet ya! And, of course, everyone else!

Just a little heads up. We are booked at a FLR rate in a window cabin. I was just looking at the DCL website to see what was still available and found the rate to be slightly lower due to the taxes/fees/port charges changing. I called DCL and they adjusted our ressie by $37.26. Hey - I'll take it! You might want to check it out.

Welcome all!
Hi everyone. I am new to this and the thread thing so I am not sure if I am posting on the right site. I am going on this DC as well with my husband Rob , daughter Gabby 11 , and son Nick 12. We have been on many Disney cruises in the past but very excited for this itinerary. I would like to participate in the fish extender group if anyone is interested please let me
Know. I think the kids would love it.

Stasia5 was keeping a list of those who wanted to do a Fish Extender. However, she's no longer on this cruise. She posted a list at the time she dropped out with the names/info of those who expressed an interest up to that time.

I don't believe anyone has taken up the reigns to continue maintaining the list.
