Disney Fantasy ~ December 22, 2012 ~ 7 Night Western Caribbean

I just sent you a friend request as well, Joe. :) Thank you for doing this. This cruise is going to be so great.

Our trip is a suprise (for now) too. I am telling my boys on their birthdays. One turns 9 on March 31 and the other turns 8 on April 2. SO, they are getting the Goofy call on April 1!! Then they won't be able to shut me up about Disney!!

Wow, its nice to see this page finally growing. Please count us in for the FE's and I would also like to get on the FB page.

Thanks

John

My family will be joining you for this cruise. :)

It will be myself, DH, DD (19), DS (17), DS (14), DD (13). This will be our 16th Disney Cruise. We are also doing the New Years Cruise!

We did Christmas on the Magic in 2010 and LOVE IT! It was so relaxing. No cooking or cleaning! No family drama to deal with.;)

Question for those who have cruised over Christmas before.... Does Disney do anything special Christmas eve / Christmas day?

I have been wanting to know this too. I am assuming that at some point there will be a looooong line to see Santa. :santa: Do they do a special extra yummy dinner on Christmas day? Is there anything else special?

I mean, besides the fact that we will be on a cruise, at Christmas?? :cheer2:

Not that I am an expert at all, but I read on their web site that they do offer some kind of services for christmas, including a midnight mass----all christmas day I believe they have santa and his friends in the main lobby for photos and they even are offering milk and cookies too-
I am with you though Jess, gotta hope they are serving something YuMmY:thumbsup2 for dinner !!

SO--- come one sleepyheads :surfweb: if you have done the christmas cruise before, do tell, we need to know---LOL

I had to find my navigators to help me remember all the things they had for Christmas in 2010. ;)

Christmas Eve (was a port day): Children's caroling, Christmas Eve mass, family crafts. No special dinner menu.

Christmas Day (was a sea day): Santa (8-11am), festive treats & drinks, face painting, Church service, win a cruise jackpot bingo, christmas movies on the ariel view tv, Pool part, Characters in Holiday attire, and ginger bread house building. Don 'Duckey' Williams was on the ship. They also had a special dinner menu.
* Santa:santa: was a really good one! ;) I even made my kids (17,15,13,11) take a picture with him.

My Dh and I really enjoyed doing the cruise for Christmas. It was so relaxing. DCL did all the cooking and the dishes!! We got to spend the whole day with our children. :)

Thanks so much! It sounds so very exciting, I can't wait. Question about the services. Was the Christmas Eve mass a "Midnight Mass" (i.e. Catholic mass with priest and all) and the one on Christmas day non-denominational?

Both Christmas Eve (GC) & Christmas Day (Costa Maya) for our cruise will be port days. Wonder how that will work. I'm sure they will make it fabulous whatever they have planned.

Yes, Disneycruising, thanks for posting that. I wish it was October already so that I could go and at least make an attempt at booking an excursion or two.

I know my kids are going to chersish this memory of their first vacation. I just hope I'm not setting myself up for 'normal' Chrismasses being disapointing after this. :scared1:

Hello I have just booked my family on this cruise!!!! I was also on the Magic for Christmas 2010!!! I love Disney, Santa and my family!!!!!:wizard:

YAY!!!

If there is room, we are also joining you for this cruise.

We also did the Magic for Christmas in 2010!! Loved it!!

This past year we went on NCL right out of NY, which is only a short distance from our home. Needless to say, we weren't in the Christmas spirit like we were on Disney!!

I am willing to fly just to be on Disney for Christmas!
