I have amended the notes on the FE list to reflect that. Congrats !!!

There's suggestions to buy some snacks, or alcohol ...etc to bring onboard. I've been told to bring Tupperware. We're stay at the Hyatt hotel at the airport in Orlando. Is there any stores to do shopping?
Thank you
Daniel

Its nice to know that another couple will be celebrating their Honeymoon on the Disney Fantasy. I can't imagine a more magical way to celebrate the love and commitment between two people. My DH and I got married on May 23, 2014.

I went on my first Disney Cruise with my sister and her family last November 2013 on the Fantasy and was hooked. I have been telling my DH how much fun I had and he is excited to say the least. We can't wait for the fun to begin!!

I don't know about Tupperware. You are only allowed to bring closed (as in never opened) packages of snacks. From the DCL FAQ regarding food & beverages: Homemade, pre-cooked or other perishable items plus any open snack containers cannot be brought onboard. Limitations on permitted food items are directly related to concerns for food safety and contamination prevention.

Non-perishable, government-approved snack food items in their sealed, original packaging may be brought aboard ship; however, items must be consumed prior to returning to the home port at the end of the cruise or still remain in their sealed original packaging.

Alcohol is permitted onboard. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried onboard in a day bag or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep. Alcohol brought onboard may not be consumed in any lounge or public area. Guests who arrive in the dining room with a bottle of champagne or wine that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $20.00 per bottle.

Please be advised: Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to remove fragile items (including beverages) from luggage. In such cases, items will be stored and returned at the end of the voyage. Beverage containers are considered fragile and have previously caused damage in checked luggage. All fragile items must be transported inside carry-on luggage.

While you will find many Disboard members advising you on "how to get around the rules," the above is DCL's official policy. ;)

There is PLENTY of free food to eat on the ship. :rotfl2:

Definitely not trying to break any rules on my first trip. So glad I found this board. Everyone has been so helpful.

Sounds like pirate day is going fun. How's dressing up and what type of costume are you wearing?

Would like to know everyone's favorite character! Choices are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto. Please let me know what each person in your group or family chooses (e.g., Dennis- Goofy, Krista - Donald, Kayla - Pluto)

Also, if anyone in our group does not celebrate Christmas, please let me know that as well. Thanks!:earsboy:

We don't bring any snacks or alcohol on board. This year we might bring a bottle of wine or two as we're getting them at the Food and Wine Fest the week before.
I definitely don't think it's necessary to bring snacks. All food is included so why spend more $? :)

As far as Pirate night goes, we're not dressing up as pirates per se. I bought a cute headband I'm going to wear and a dress from Pirates of the Caribbean I bought at WDW. (It's subtley pirate. LOL)

DH will probably wear a Pirates t and maybe a bandana and an eye patch.

Sometimes we dress up, but not this time.

1 Month away! My wife and I will try to visit at the Meet and Greet - if we're not scrambling around at the kids clubs, or at the Palo desk, or visiting the SPA checking on Rainforest Passes, or checking out our cabins, or checking on extension cords / fans, or any of 100 other things :)

hey guys I tried joining the Facebook page but I dont think I was accepted into it. My name is Gina Goris. But I was just wondering if anyone here was going to be just taking a Taxi or bus to the beach in Jamaica instead of booking a Excursion? I booked late and the beach express excursion is completely booked up . I have a 1.5 year old and my husband and I really want to go to the Beach in Jamaica but we have never been so we dont know how it works. Help lol. Thanks!~Gina

Hi everyone! We booked this cruise 18 months ago, and it is almost here! We are so very excited, and I think I have read every last word about Disney cruising the internet has to offer.

It's me, my husband and our three-year old on this adventure.

We've got our hotel booked in Cocoa Beach the night before, reservations at Nachi Cocum for our Cozumel day (before our child came along we used to love vacationing in Mexico and the islands at all-inclusive resorts so Nachi is an homage to those days for us), plenty of surprises along the way for our daughter (I finished painting her treasure box yesterday that we will bury one beach day - I can't wait for her to find it!), and I have my tips sheet and packing lists all ready to go.

The planning has been so much fun, and I know the week on the ship will just fly by - I am ready to enjoy every minute of it with my family and can't wait to see my daughter experience the magic.

Aren't we all so fortunate to have this experience?

I've been following along on this board for a very long time and we hope to be able to come by The Tube on embarkation day to meet you and puts names and faces together.

See you on The Fantasy in next month!

This is my first cruise, ever. I think it would be great to get to know some people, maybe grab a drink or whatever.

Sometimes people bring Tupperware or ziplock bags to store snacks in their room. Choc chip cookies-yum! This is only while on the ship not to take off the ship.
