Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

I just received confirmation info of the date and time of the Informal Meet and Greet aboard the Disney Fantasy that I was able to book. So for those who would like to pop in and say hi and meet, this is a good place to start!

It will also give those participating in the FE, who may need to, a quick opportunity to advise room changes etc.

This is an open invitation to whomever would like to come and put a face to their name - not just FE participants. All ages are welcome.

Date: Sat November 8 (embarkation day)
Time: between 2pm to 3pm.
Location: The Tube (Deck 4, Aft)

It is just a meet and greet only, and there will be no refreshments provided. So if you like to attend, please come on out. Again it is only for an hour because like everyone else, I don't want to spend a lot of time stuck in a room, especially on embarkation day . I am not sure how many people the Tube holds, but I imagine most people will be coming and going.

Key word: Informal !! Lol

That is completely up to you. Some do family gifts, some may just give gifts for kids. But in my experience most will give gifts for each individual in their assigned group.

I do. I put my iPhone in airplane mode and just use the ships wifi. I get a travel pack too and will only turn on and off the airplane mode as needed.

From what I have read on Disboards the navigator app runs on the 'free limited wifi' onboard the ship (but you need to purchase a wifi package to use the ships wifi to access more than the navigator app). I do not have first hand knowledge of this though.

Thanks for doing this on top of all the FE coordination!!! You're the bomb! We hope to be able to stop by for sure at some point. Can't wait!!

Feel free to ask any questions! I learned so much here on the DIS before our first cruise in 2010.

It's definitely a bit overwhelming! But don't fret, you'll LOVE it! And it is definitely addicting!

Do people bring their cellphones? I downloaded the navigator onto my phone but worry about some expensive bill when i get home for using it? When I travel I usually get travel packs but do these work out at sea?

We do and the Navigator app is very helpful. We use our old, deactivated phones so there's no worries about excess charges if a kid takes it off airplane mode.

We also had the 100mb Connect@Sea internet package and speed was pretty fast. We were able to check email and upload pics to FB without any problems.

Welcome! There are also a couple of great DCL related groups on FB to check out.

I will say in my experience the general Disney World and Disney Cruise FB groups are not as good as the DIS. But that's just my personal experience..

Yep, that too...fine by me. With our first cruise, we only did the DISboards and I really preferred it actually.
