Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

Hello I am new to disboards. I am wondering where to get connected and signed up for fish extender group. Thank you. :cool1:

Have you tried the Palo brunch? I've booked it, never tried it before. Hoping the lady and I like it. We enjoyed the Palo dinner.

LOVE IT!:love::love:

Actually I like it as much as or even more than dinner. It is different but it offers all "my" favorite foods. Lots of appetizer type portions of shellfish, cheeses, veggies, and egg dishes with pasta offerings, breads of all types, sweet rolls and cinny buns, fruits and of course desserts. A champagne or mimosa came with the brunch. YUMMY>>>>>Must remember to bring elastic waist clothes.......

Well we've booked excursions at all of the ports except for Jamaica. Still trying to decide on a family fun port adventure for a family of 5 with children ages 7-12. Any suggestions? We are looking for an excursion which will present a cultural learning experience more than a 'ride or a thrill'

I struggled with this port and searched a lot of non Disney port adventures for suggestions. I have not been on these and have no clue if they will fit what you are looking for with your family but take a look at the Bamboo Raft ride or the Green Grotto Caves. Both offer a bit of the cultural experience of where they fit into the growth of the country but not as significant as some offerings at other ports. I cannot speak for whether kids would find these interesting or not. Just 'cause I stared at the port adventures I thought I'd toss this into the pot. :stir:

Good Luck and Happy Planning. :coffee:

Hi All,

I was on another discussion board for this cruise, but this one is so much more active. This will be my family's first Disney Cruise. Attending are DH, DD (8) and myself.

First, I would love to partake in the Fish Extender. Please let me know what I need to do.

Next, I have a few questions, unfortunately, the thread is too long for me to go through so excuse me for any repeat questions.

1. Has anyone heard whether the Castaway Cay 5k is no longer available? I read somewhere that it was listed as inactive, then I saw on run disney that they are putting the 5k with the marathon. Are they still going to do it for each ship stop too?

2. Any suggestions for Falmouth, Jamaica. DH is a professional Jamaica traveler having been there at least a dozen times, and I have been a few. We are more familiar with Montego Bay. We were thinking of going to Doctors Cave beach (favorite) but are finding it a little too pricey to get to. DD will not be into site seeing I think... so I am trying to find a happy medium.

Looking forward to this cruise... I've been counting down since 481 days!
