Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

I keep forgetting to check for the Facebook group! I'm going to do it right now before I forget again!! 6 months from today and we'll be on the open seas!! :)

Hi everyone! We've been booked for this cruise for awhile but I always forget to check out the cruise meet group. I asked to join the FB group too. We are myslef (Rebecca), DH and our two sons (will be 5 and 20 months at time of cruise). This will be our second cruise on DCL and the Fantasy and we are very excited.

Is there a FB group posted ? This will be our 6th cruise. Boys Ethan - 11, and Cameron - 8. Is there a FE signup list ?

Let the fun begin !!!!

Guess it can happen anywhere but it can be a bit scary not knowing whom all theses people are!
Very true! I'm the admin for my February cruise FB group and have rejected a few. A couple of them were using a company or organization identity instead of their personal "real" names. I tried to message them via FB, but that usually ends up automatically in an "Other" folder seldom read, not their "Inbox." So I had no choice but to deny approval.

Then there was a truly obvious "fake": He used a seemingly real name but showed as having joined FB that same month and had already joined 85 groups (none of them even remotely related to anything Disney or cruising) and only had two friends and two weird posts on his timeline. Rejected!

I may be overly cautious, but I figure I have the right if I have no way to confirm their identity on FB and they don't provide enough info on the Dis meet thread. And if their FB profile is totally private or nothing there is Disney, it raises suspicion. :coffee:

HarrisFamily4 - I believe we were on the same cruise May 11 Fantasy last year, when my husband sailed with me.

Hi all, we received an email last night from DU stating that we could now Pre-Book shore excursions, palo ressies, spa, and kids programs. Is this just DU sending an automated note out because we're close to the 150 day mark and Concierge guests (which we are not) can call in and prebook things? Or is this something new entirely? We're CC Silver, so I've had my counter set for 90 days out, to do the PAT, and Palo (we want to get in for Brunch as a group) the minute the clock strikes 11 PM (Central Time Zone).

Thoughts?

If you are not Concierge, then either DU sent the email to you in error OR is it possible you may have misread it and IF you are already paid in full it may have stated that you may now pre-book all of those things when your "window" opens (which would be 90 days), since being "paid in full" is a prerequisite to doing so? Otherwise, it has to be an error unless your significant other upgraded you to Concierge. ;)

Thanks, it is worded very weird. Nothing in the email states PIF or Windows. A link to more information on a DU web page, does mention the PIF requirement, and does have the ranked windows, but does not clearly link the windows with "Pre-Booking". Perhaps it's the "Pre" part that is throwing me off. I'll follow up with DU to see what they really mean.

I don't know about DU as I never use a TA, but when DCL says "pre-booking" they usually mean pre-cruise - meaning that after being PIF and when your booking window opens, you may book at that time.

Let us know what you find out. Maybe you are suddenly Concierge! :)

Please add us to the FE group, we are ready to start creating!

I figured it out.. I didn't connect the two yesterday. We're PIF as of the 14th, so a few hours after the final payment was processed that email came out from DU. Silly me!

Hi folks....we are now booked, not yet PIF but at least booked. I had a bit of a setback reading posts until I saw that someone who is sailing soon, is on the DREAM, and here I thought I slept through the summer. :rotfl2:

Meanwhile, thanks also for the link to the Navigators. I must do some serious planning about shore excursions.
