Disney Fantasy Cruise February 20, 2016

I need an opinion from the group. How soon is too soon to book your flight? I've been monitoring flights already, and found a great one on United that is non-stop to MCO on the Friday AM before the cruise. We'd get there early enough to have a day in FL, with time to re-route if any weather related delays. Flight back after the cruise is also what we're looking for.

Price is currently $309 a person, about $100 less a person than what i've normally seen.

Too soon to book, or should we go for it? Southwest is not a good option for us, as no non-stops out of Cleveland. We'd have to drive 2 hours each way to the airport to get a non-stop.

Hi Everyone! I know I mentioned that we'd like to be on the FE group. I just wanted to give your everyone's names and ages.

Cabin: 5022
Andy Sutherland (33)
Liz Sutherland (33)
Wren Sutherland (4)
Willow Sutherland (19mo)

Cabin: 5020
Gary Sutherland (58)
Brenda Sutherland (58)

I know that Liz and I would like to do the Mixology class.

Let me know if we need to do anything else and I'm looking to meeting everyone. Any thoughts on when we'll have the spreadsheet of cabins in our group? {content edited by a moderator}

I say go for it, but I like to have all that stuff taken care of way in advance so I don't have to think about it anymore.

We will be across the hall neighbors! We are in cabin 5520! Adam is doing the grouping for the FE. I think he will be posting the updated spreadsheet for the FE soon. As for other groups outside of the DIS, unfortunately nobody is allowed to discuss any due to DIS Policy. We are also not allowed to use Google Docs. Here is the official message from the Dis Moderators:

"It has come to our attention that our members have received solicitations to post their information on other sites including Facebook and Google Docs.

We have had complaints from several members that these turned out to be solicitations from travel agencies and other forms of advertising.
We have examined the policy of other cruise forums and have found that they have policies forbidding this.

In order to protect our members the DIS Webmasters have decided to institute a similar policy. Moving forward there will be a new infraction "Attempting to lure DIS members to post private information on other sites". It will be a 40 point violation.

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions) and we expect that those who have already posted such links/offers will remove them.

We also encourage DIS members to let us know if they are solicited via private message or any other means. This policy was first posted in early July, 2014 and has seen minimal compliance so additional emphasis is now being placed on the issue.

As always, the safety of our guests is our number one priority."

Gotcha. We were on the hallowonder in 2013 and most of our communication was on fb. I don't always get notifications of new post on the boards.

I am in contact with the person handling the FE and they should be back to update the list in the couple of weeks. We are going to do one group of 20 Cabins and the rest will be groups of 10 Cabins. You can be in more than one group if you wish, just let us know. Also, we are doing an FE group for Adults Only, if you wish to participate in that. :cutie:

Curious... is it based on the floor that you're on? or does "grouping" cover multiple floors?[/QUOTE]
My wife and I would like to be in the Adult Only group

We are doing the Princess 10k as well!

Awesome!! A couple of others are as well! Maybe we can do a group meet up somehow? It's my first runDisney race, so I don't really know how easy that would be logistically lol. Are you using ME to get to the port or driving? I'm still trying to decide what we want to do.

That would be fun. We haven't decided yet on flying/driving.

Yeah, we are definitely driving to Orlando, but I could leave my car at my sisters house for the week of the cruise and take ME from the resort to the port. Feel like the car might be better at my sisters than in the Park & Cruise lot.

I am SO Excited! We just booked today and this is our First Disney Cruise! Star Wars and Disney I just can't wait!
I am also wanting to participate in a FE group or 2... I am traveling with my Mother-in-love and son. I am a rookie at this and have read other posts and am not quite sure what all info is needed. Thank you to whomever can help me.

I've already bought ours... Virgin non-stop from LAX, California to MCO with taxes etc about $400 each

Do you already have passports? I was going to try and keep the trip a surprise for my son as well (will be 17). But, finding a reason why we need a passport has been a challenge. Maybe I'll just say we may travel abroad some day and this is a good time to get them. :)
I read that you do not need a passport? Am I miss understanding that? Only for an emergency if you needed to fly back to US from one of the ports?

My family (DD 11, DD 9, DS 7, DH and I) will be on this cruise (unless our Canadian dollar slips too much further! :worried:) and would enjoy being part of the FE group. Whom do I contact with the required information? We are always excited about Disney cruises but the Star Wars at sea has us SUPER pumped!! :yay:

Ok everyone I think I've got this now... I mentioned that we'd like to be on the FE group or 2. I just wanted to give you our names and ages.

Cabin: 8051
Rachel Muliett (38)
Belinda Midkiff (64)
Emmanuel Muliett (6)

My Mother-in-love and I would like more information on the Mixology class before we commit.

Let me know if we need to do anything else and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. And getting started on all the FE gifts...
