When we did the Christmas cruise last year we surprised the kids. We did not tell them a thing!!! Just woke them up and gave them clothes to put on (Mickey clothes). We told them they were not going to school that day and we told them we were going on a Disney cruise. The best part was when the giant SUV car service came to pick us up - that might have been the highlight of the morning! It was tough keeping it a surprise but it was a LOT of fun.

That is awesome! I think this is along the lines of what we will do. I was thinking of having the "Mickey call" scheduled for the morning of our flight while they are having breakfast. Basically I would put the call on speaker and then let them know they were not going to school today but instead headed to the airport for our Disney cruise. I think they are both old enough now that they will prefer this kind of holiday (the experiences ) vs the traditional Christmas morning. I found this year that it was so hard even finding things that they needed or wanted!

That sounds wonderful!!! The kids are going to be so excited. Please either take a picture or video. I would love to see their faces.

I had a hard time getting the Dream cruise together for my wedding. I have 4 kids and 6 grand children. I ended up getting a small inheritance from my parents 2 years ago. I lost both of them not even a year apart to cancer of all things. Well anyway my dream since my kids were younger to take them on a wonderful vacation but couldn't afford it. So my husband and I decided to take everyone on a Disney cruise and we can renew our vows and have the wedding we didn't really have then go on the Fantasy for our honeymoon.

Only 1 kid of mine and his fiance with my 3 grand kids are going. I paid for everyone's cruises and then had to cancel most of them. My daughter that had my other 3 grand kids decided at last minute that she is not going because she didn't want to take the twin girls out of 1st grade for the week. Can you believe it!!! Then my other 2 daughters didn't want to go because they said that this is a family cruise and I should have the wedding somewhere else. Yep that is my kids for you.

I do want to have the call for grand kids the day we are leaving. They would love it!!!!

Hi diane1432, There are so many different ways that you can surprise your sons. I know one idea that I heard of and really like is the box gift. You can either do this as a together or separate gift. If you take 1 big box wrapped with another box in it put a gift that is related in your trip in some way but something that is hard to figure out the ending resolute is. Keep doing that until you get to the smallest box where you will reveal the trip. You have to make sure it is tough because of the kids ages. I was thinking about the first box having a calendar in it, if you are flying and maybe taking a limo to the airport get a picture or a toy car of a limo. But when you get closer I would try to throw them off into a different direction and then the big reveal If you are on FB we have a meet group there. I don't see anywhere that you can download a message. You'll want to answer the questions and then email them to me. If you have questions or just want to talk or talk about the cruise whichever feel free to email me if it is easier for you.

As far as the FE gifts you can spend as little or as much as you want. They can be homemade or bought. You can also give 1 gift to the whole stateroom or you can give to each person in that stateroom. You can also give gifts as many times during the cruise that you would like. I will include a file that will list a few sites that you can get lots of ideas on FE gifts. If there are any other sites that you know about please add them. You can also include gift tags that say who that gift is from or you can leave it as a secret.
Since this is a gift do not post your gift on this site. Or otherwise you will give your gift idea away . Although if you would like to share your Fish Extender that you will be hanging on your door that would be perfect. You can make your own or buy them from lots of places on Etsy.com. Speaking for myself I love to see what everyone has done for their Fish Extender.

We are going to do 20 staterooms per group. When we have reached 20 staterooms then I will start group B. If you would like to be involed in more than one group all you have to do is tell me.

If anything changes in your information ex. stateroom change, another person joins your stateroom or is unable to go on the trip let me know so I can adjust the spreadsheet.

I will share the results of the spreadsheet with you every week unless we don't have any new members for that week. I will share how many adults and children and the childrens gender and age. The spreadsheet is password protected the only person that can see it or adjust it is me. Towards the end of the cut off period "which we need to decide that" I will share the spreadsheet with all so you know the stateroom numbers so you can deliver you gifts

4. Your dinner seating (1st or 2nd)
5. Is there a celebration in your group
6. "Just for fun and conversation" are you extending you vacation before the cruise or after? Where?

9. Names and Ages of everyone in the group (you don't need to give adult ages unless you want to and proud of it )
10. Your family's last name
11. Favorite Color for each adult and kids
12. If there is a favorite character for the adult or child
13. Any food allergies that we must know about
14. Home Town

Hi SoCalDisneyGal!!! So happy you are going to be on the cruise with all of us. It is building up pretty fast now . This is actually would be my 2nd cruise. My first one is on the Dream right before this one...lol

It is just my husband and I that are going on this one but we are participating in the FE! There is no age limit on having fun

Hi TriMomFL! Did you sign up for our group on Face Book yet? Everybody is pretty much over there . I am so excited for this cruise.
