Hello all! Can't believe we are on page 6 with 1 year, 3 months and 11 days to go! I booked a placeholder on this cruise 6 months ago and went to upgrade cabins this week and oh my goodness! Looks like we will be sticking with the portholes! This will be our 5th cruise and if it works out we will have me, DH, DS20, DS18 and DS17 with us. Two in college so keeping our fingers crossed that their schedules work out! We just got off the Fantasy 6 weeks ago and I'm having Disney withdrawals and can't imagine how awesome a Christmas cruise will be! And yep, I'll be signing up for the FE's. We had a beer exchange on our July cruise and that was kind of fun too - local microbrews.

With the holidays coming I am getting so excited for this cruise even though it's not until next year! Looking for ways to surprise my two sons who will be 10 and 13 when we cruise. They have done the Dream a few years ago and loved it. Can't wait to plan with all of you : )

Hi diane1432,

There are so many different ways that you can surprise your sons. I know one idea that I heard of and really like is the box gift. You can either do this as a together or separate gift. If you take 1 big box wrapped with another box in it put a gift that is related in your trip in some way but something that is hard to figure out the ending resolute is. Keep doing that until you get to the smallest box where you will reveal the trip.

You have to make sure it is tough because of the kids ages. I was thinking about the first box having a calendar in it, if you are flying and maybe taking a limo to the airport get a picture or a toy car of a limo. But when you get closer I would try to throw them off into a different direction and then the big reveal

Hi Stacy, So glad you are going to go on the cruise with all of us! Why don't you hop on over to our FB page. Are you interested in signing up for the FE? Would love to have you. If you go to the file tab there is a link to a questioner. All you need to do is copy paste the questions in your email and send it over to the email listed. I will get you put in the list right away.

We also have a poll for a pub crawl (night to be determined). I am getting married on the Dream right before the Fantasy and a few of us thought of using it as a little reception because they want to see me in my dress . Be sure to vote.

Bad weather here in Ontario. snow and rain, ice storms! Went to put some bird seed in the backyard feeder slipped off the deck stairs landed on my back in a pile of slush, then remembered only a year to go before our cruise!

This year just hasn't been good at all. I am ready for Christmas to be over...lol. I feel like one of the Bah Humbug's this year.

Hello My wife and I decided about a month ago that a Christmas disney cruise would be a once in a life time experience. Christmas has always been a stay at home, cook turkey and be with family. But now that our children are older we decided to do it. It is going to be a blast. Look forward to meeting all of you. The Stewarts Sent from my iPod touch using DISBoards

Hah! Be careful with what you say.... We did the fantasy for Xmas last year as a once in a lifetime event and here we are just booked for next year!

We decided right after we got off the ship to do it again, but dragged our feet and the prices have home up a TON which really sucks. Oh well, it was nice to go through this Christmas knowing next year will be fabulous!

My kids call it the best Christmas ever and so did we. It was so nice to spend quality family time with no one cooking, cleaning etc etc. I can't wait!!!!

We told them they were not going to school that day and we told them we were going on a Disney cruise. The best part was when the giant SUV car service came to pick us up - that might have been the highlight of the morning! It was tough keeping it a surprise but it was a LOT of fun.

I don't have any kids going with me on this Christmas Cruise. I have 4 grown kids and 6 kids. My Son,DIL, and 3 grandkids with some family are going on the Dream with us right before this cruise. My husband and I will be renewing our vows. Then on the 19th they are all going back to Illinois and my husband and I am going to enjoy a never had honeymoon and Christmas away
