Disney Fantasy, August 18, 2012 - Western Caribbean

We'll be in 10004. Noah's very happy to have someone to hang with! I just looked at Tracy's list and saw that you have a 4 y.o. daughter. Our Abby is 5!

Yes, My daughter is 4 will be 5 in January. She will love it!!!

I have a few extra FE gifts, We can diffently stop by your room and drop of something for Hershey trade!! LOL> My daughter and Husband might knock down your door for that!:rotfl2: I wrote your room down on my list so we will exchange with you.

You are so sweet Mary! :flower3:

In that case, you can move on to the next level of the application..... the part where the dining companions promise not to ask "um, are you really going to eat that?" or mention that they just saw me through the window of Cove Cafe downing a venti cafe mocha (with a mountain of whipped cream) just hours ago.

:rotfl2:

You know, they won't see you having a late afternoon BLT from room service. ;) They are the best, especially with a bowl of the tomato soup. :thumbsup2

Plus, there's always the cheese and cracker plate for before dinner.

I remember one cruise Suz and I were going to Palo for dinner so we got DS a cheeseburger from room service. I had a bite and it was probably the best burger I tasted from Disney - anywhere.

OK, now where are those dining room menus again? :rotfl:

Very sneaky... I like it! And I'll just slide the empty room service tray in front of someone else's door. (Because there are a few people on our cruise thread that aren't too far down the hall from my stateroom.)

We got the cheese/cracker plate a few times on our last cruise. :thumbsup2

There looks to be a lot of empty rooms on our ship, we just have to find out which ones and leave the trays there. People will think they are just staying in their room and ordering room service all week. :lmao:

You know, if you leave the tray in your room, the room host will take it out when he turns your room down at night. :thumbsup2

I'll have to figure out which rooms near mine are empty. ;). Or when placing the tray in the hall, announce loudly "That fruit bowl sure was delicious!". :lmao:

I can't keep the tray in my room after the snack/meal/mindless eating session is over. I'm THAT PERSON... the one that makes the bed, straightens the towels, tidies up and puts everything away before leaving the stateroom.

Our stateroom is always "put together" as well. I'm surprised when we walk down the hall and doors are open and some people have crap everywhere. The room host must love our rooms as they can actually move around in it.

The one thing that does annoy me, well not annoys, but makes me laugh, is we move the trash can that is closest to the door in the room and the room host ALWAYS moves it back to where it was when we first stepped into the room. After it is moved to the same place four or five times, don't you think we want it there? :rolleyes2 :rotfl: I'm sure they have to do the rooms in a certain way and I bet they're reviewed on it, so I understand when it is moved back. We laugh about it every time.

3 weeks from now we will be done with our first dinner (early seating) and sailing down the coast of FL to the Caribbean.

I watched the Fantasy sail out this afternoon (was actually a little early - 4:50 EDT). The upper decks didn't look too crowded when it went past the port cam. Only two more sail aways to watch before it is our turn. :cool1:

Where do you go to see the live web cam? I would love to see that.

Any takers? My kids are excited to distribute plentiful amounts of Hershey products all over the ship! :cheer2:

Amy,

We have extra FE gifts too, so we will be happy to exchange with your cabin. We are still in Guaranty status. Will post cabin number when we recieve it.

Good Morning,

This is our first cruise and would love for my son to meet other kids that are his age. Does anyone have a 7-10 year old?

Thanks and looking forward to meeting you.

No problem Mary, I never mind answering questions. Ask away.

To answer your question, it happens, not sure how much. All upgrades are by chance and based on availability. I don't think it matters how/what you booked, but it just seems like some of the IGT and OGT bookings have been getting upgrades lately. (now that I just jinxed myself out of one. :rotfl: Actually we're fine with any room and that is why we booked OGT because we at least wanted a window)

We had lightning strike once (our 3rd cruise) and went from a 9 to a 7 (that was before they had the letters - it would be a 9B to a 7A now).

Not sure what their philosophy is as to how they pass them out, but anything is possible. Just have to believe in Pixie Dust. pixiedust: LOL
Thank you Jeff.

I do believe in Pixiedust, so we will wait and see.

My grandson Jake is 7. He is very outgoing and friendly - not shy at all. What is your son's name?

Tracy: I think our room is not too far from yours. :lmao:

I better tell my dh it wasn"t me eating those hamburgers or BLT's which may end up near our room and I don't know how they got there. :confused3

Can't wait to meet you guys. :yay: We are going to have sooo much fun.

Where do you go to see the live web cam? I would love to see that.

There ae a few cameras to watch/see the ship on.

The main one is the Port Canaveral Cam. It will also follow the ships as they go out (not sure who or how to control that one).

There is also stationary cam on the other side of the channel called the Port Canaveral Cruise Cam.

Where the channel goes into the ocean, you can watch the ships on the Ron Jon Beachcam.

Then after the ships are off all those cams, there is the Two Palms cam. On this one the ship will be a little futher in the distance.

The ships usually leave at 5:00 Eastern and pass the last cam (Two Palms) by around 5:25 p.m. Eastern.

Watching the ship sail the next couple weeks will get you excited for our cruise going out soon after.

I'll have to look up the cams for the islands the Fantasy stops at. I saw her in Grand Cayman and Cozumel last week. Not sure if there is a Costa Maya cam, but I'll have to look. The ship is on an Eastern this week though, so I'll have to see what cams are out there. I remember seeing one for St. Thomas (Wednesday), but not sure about St. Maarten. I'll post what I find.

Happy viewing. :happytv:

Trust me, there won't be any hamburgers or BLT's on a plate near your room. Just the crumbs. :rotfl:

Once she starts eating, she won't be able to stop. At least that's story behind my tray. :rolleyes1

Lol! Funny you mention that. I notice that room items, like the trash can, get moved back. Have also had this happen in the Disney hotels.
