Disney Fairy Tale Weddings/Honeymoons PI

Hello potential DFTW interns,

Wasn't a thread dedicated to this, though I think there should be. Trying to find other DIS posters who are going for/ have done the DFTW trifecta: Consultant, Social Media, or the pièce de résistance, Planner. Was hoping I could hear about past experiences, current motivations, future plans. I applied for the Social Media and the Planner, and told the interviewer when I was screened that those, along with the real estate one, were in my top three. As of right now it still shows that I've submitted my application, but that I'm still just in "submission" stage. Anybody thus far farther than that? My paranoia is just kicking in since everything else I applied for is in IS right now.

Anyway, the Fall 2012 PI Facebook says there's a bunch of you who are applying, would be cool to hear from you guys. Or if you did DFTW in the past, you're welcome to post here too.

I applied for the Wedding Consultant PI. It is still saying "In Process" on my Dashboard. I am a wedding photographer now and would love to work as a consultant. In the meantime, I have applied for and been offered a position in the CP as a PhotoPass Photographer.

I applied for the social media one, as well, and mine is still showing as "submitted" despite having already done the initial interview. Most of the others I applied for are in "IS."

So I suppose we just wait. I've been checking my status like 6 times a day. Having it as submitted is just making me more nervous.

So you're in the same boat as me. Looks like you and I are going to be friendly competitors. But honestly, good luck! If you don't mind me asking, what made you want to get involved with Disney Weddings?

Good luck to you too! And honestly, I've always been a little obsessed with the concept of a Disney wedding. I'm from the area and have spent a lot of time at the parks and have always thought that if I could afford it, I would want to get married there. As a graduate student, I'm starting to realize I'm never going to have enough money for that, but helping other people live out that dream is good enough for me. :

I'm going to be applying for DFTW PI for January (or whenever Spring PIs start). I'm doing DCP from August-January, and I'm really hoping to just go straight to a PI (otherwise I'm out of luck-graduating in May). I currently work for an event planning company in Northwest Indiana, so I've got some experience working at weddings.

So I have just progressed from submission to In Progress for the DFTW Social Media. Still submission for Planner. Good sign!!!!!! (Maybe...)

I'm not sure if you guys are also over at the Facebook group, but I just wanted to pass along that a couple girls got emailed for second interviews for planner and consultant today.

Still no word on social media. Just sitting in IS.
