I've booked our trip to Disneyland in September via the Eurostar and my travel agent says Disney Express is included on the Eurostar.

That's all very well, but as we're going on the direct one to Disney, surely everyone on the Eurostar will be using the Disney Express option and it will be a free for all when we all get off at Disney?

I've never been before and will only be travelling with my 6 year old son so will not fancy a scrum to get to the desk first!!

Any tips or hints. I think I read somewhere there are 700 + seats on the Eurostar, if we all get to Disney it'll take forever to drop off 700 suitcases!!

Or am I panicking too much lol!!!

No, not everyone opts for the Disney express.

It dosn't take to long for it all to be dropped off/unloaded when u get to Disney, it's quite quick.:goodvibes

I use it everytime, i think its a great service, and hassle free.

When are u going in Sept?, i wouldn't imagine Eurostar train would be fully booked then?. I thought that was just school holidays?

Hope it helped a little bit:wizard:

Hello, the past two years we have flown but prior to that we always went on the Eurostar. You are checked in on the train as it is travelling which is great as you get all your passes so you can go straight in the park. When you get off the train you walk to the Disney express desk with your luggage and just queue until you get to the front. There are plenty of staff handling the luggage and they just tie a tag to you case, give you the tear off bit and jobs done. We have never been any longer than five or ten minutes. Then it's straight into the park.

Well worth it. Saves you going to your hotel and waiting for your tickets. The queue at the hotel is always longer than the queue at the luggage.

I have used it on two occasions both in school holidays, never have had to queue at all really, here is a pic of the queue when we arrived (well in the background) a few weeks ago:

Oh I am quite jealous, all the times we have been and I've never seen Chip or Dale.

I didnt find it a scrum in January, you get in your queue of the hotel and have your bag collected, i waited less than 5 mins probably...

I dont like the Disney Express service much but will use it again as it was semi-hassle free for going as a single parent.

Hi,

Maybe I am missing something, but I really don't see how the express service is any use.

You take your bags through the scanners to the Eurostar lounge, you get given a luggage tag to fill out and put on your bag.

You then have to take your own bags and put them on the train.

At the end of the journey you then take your bags off of the train and up the escalator in the station to leave them to be transported to the hotel.

At this point you are close to the shuttle bus to the hotel anyway.

I know that you have also been given your tickets so you can go straight into the park, but for the time you spend queing to collect your tickets and then again to leave your bags, surely it is just as easy to go to the hotel?

I had thought, before I saw how it worked, that you would put the tag on the bags and Disney would then take the bags to a luggage compartment on the train to be taken off by them at the other end and whisked away to be delivered to your hotel, but this appears to be too obvious and better for the guest.

Don't get me wrong I love all things Disney and DLP especially, but this just seems to have been something that is being done in a very bizarre way, and not worth the time or effort.

what is the difference between fastpass and Disney Express?

Hello, Fastpass is for the rides in the park. Disney Express is for the journey there on the Eurostar.

I think Disney Express is good. When we have flow the past two times, the queues checking in at the hotels to get your tickets and delivering your bags is far longer than just the walk in the station.

lol When you put it like that it does seem like a waste of money.

Every time I read this thread I think it says: Disney Express - Scum :rotfl:

It all depends how long your going for, we only had a one night weekend break so time was essential for us, we left bags went straight into the park and if we wanted to we could have left it up unitl 9pm before checking into the hotel and getting our cases. Again the next day we left we were out of the hotel by 7am in the parks at 8.15am and at disney express 19.30pm to get our cases, no rushing back to hotel to grab them, every minute was crucial.

If you have booked a package (ie park tickets included), and you're either short on time, or have young children and a lot of luggage, I can see where Disney Express may be useful.

I can't imagine that it would be worth the money for Disney Express if you have an AP though - as you don't need to go to your hotel to get your park tickets, so could take your case with you straight to the park, leave it at the left luggage office, then collect it and take it with you when you go check into your hotel. On the morning you leave, same thing - take your case with you, leave it at left luggage, then take it with you on the less-than-5-minute walk to the train station when you have to start your journey home.

I have to admit we didn't use it in October and I really regret not spending the extra money to do so. By the sound of the experiences I've just read it sounds far better than waiting for the shuttle to the hotel and then standing in a queue, especially if you've just timed it to co-incide with a bus arriving from the Airport and then, depending on the time having to take your luggage to the 'left luggage' area if you're room isn't ready and then getting the shuttle back again !! I know the next time we take Eurostar we'll definitely be using the Disney Express Service.
