According to an article from the Orlando sentinel the Disney executive who oversaw the new technology that Disney has been implementing is leaving in July.

Nick Franklin, the executive vice president for next generation experience at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, will leave Disney in July, according to people familiar with his plans. Franklin has been with Disney since 1996 and is a member of Disney Parks Chairman Tom Staggs' 11-member executive committee.

According to Disney spokespeople he is leaving on his own not because Disney wants him too.

Hmmmmmm. That's interesting.
From what I got out of this is he left on his own terms before disney would fire him if they are going to. I have a feeling disney was pushing him to resign on his own terms so they didn't have to fire him.

That is often the scripted story behind most upper tier moves at TWDC
