Disney Dreaming ...Planning our daughter's 1st trip and my mother's 1st extended stay!

Everyone is napping in our house, so I have time for an update.

Feature Presentation: Bambi

Craft: Footprint Butterfly.
Miss K saw the butterfly on Bambi's nose on the DVD cover so she said she wanted a butterfly craft lol.

Snack: Acorns

Miss K laughed so much in the beginning. She really liked Bambi. I hadn't watched it in years and neither had her daddy so it was fun to see it again with Miss K. Her giggles were contagious.

So, it's been a while since I've talked plans. I subscribed to DisneyDiningBuddy in hopes of finding a pre park A DR at Crystal Palace on our MK DAY. If we don't get one I have a later 10:30 for a later morning break.

Jason and I are contemplating adding 2 more days to our trip to go to Daytona beach. Mom isn't interested, so we would drop her off at the airport and go. Not sure we will, I get homesick fairly soon but it may be a nice slow down before heading back to work. If we don't do the beach, we will just take a couple more days off to just be home... I'm leaning more to option 2. Lol :)

Flight costs keep yo-yoing, so we haven't booked yet... here's hoping we see a sale soon!

Love those acorn snacks!! So cute!! Good luck with that pre-park ADR!!! I'm working on one myself with *********** too lol. Don't despair if it doesn't come through right away....the other one I got took a few weeks.

So apparently we can't mention dining websites that happen to be our pal(bud-e) lol. But here's hoping they come through. I think once BOG breakfast opens up (I assume it will) folks will drop CP for pre park BOG.

Hello! Long time no post! End of the school year/beginning of summer craziness here. I'll update movie nights soon too!

Flights are booked and we added a day! September 27 to Oct 5. Flight was around $210 cheaper on the 5th and we all agreed we would rather pay for one more night of vacation than a flight home. I believe we are going to hop over to a value resort for the last night (depending on the room only discounts)...We can't add a park day, as you can't add days on to the Military Salute tickets, but we may add the waterpark and more option to our tickets and do a waterpark one day. It's only $30 compared to the over $50 for one day tickets. I think Miss K would LOVE Blizzard Beach and my hubby has wanted to do one. He asked about it when I started planning this trip... who knows, with 2 down days we might fit in two water parks. I've been doing movie nights and making shirts. I'll add some updates soon. I feel like everyone is so busy and I need to catch up on all your PTRs!

Sophie (our dog) had her surgery and it appears to have been successful. She's beginning to bear weight on her leg again... we also found out our Vet, who has taken care of ALL my dogs, is retiring! His goal was to retire young and he is. Happy for him, sad for me! I love it when folks achieve their dreams :)

Yay for adding a day!! That's so awesome!! Water park sounds fun!! Although you don't have to necessarily add a park day to both your off days...what about resort hopping or hanging by the pool...those are fun too! So glad your dog is going to be ok. Sad about the vet...but lucky him!!

Since having the baby, I have been reading but not really commenting (afraid those middle of the night comments won't make much sense, lol!)
Cute movie nights! We may have to add Bambi. It's one of my cant watch films, so sad. But I haven't watched it since I was about 5, so I may like it better now. Lol!
Love the Tinkerbell shoes! I wish I could keep Charlottes parties more simple, they start out that way and get bigger and bigger! Someone needs to teach this momma to stop!

Totally agree one more day is way better than paying more for flights!

Love the hula & pinapple upside down cake, yum!

Omg, the picture of your DD watching Beauty and the Beast when Maurice sees the Beast...priceless!

Cute Meet the Robinsons movie night, loved the bowler hats!

Awe, the butterfly craft is awesome. I love that she chose a butterfly craft. Kid giggles are the best!

Hooray for adding a day and a water park option sounds awesome!

Glad your dog is doing better, major bummer on the Vet retiring though, it's hard to find someone you really trust with them.

Looking forward to more movie nights and seeing the shirts!

Hello! I'm sick and have been in bed all day so I thought I would update. Things have been hectic so our movie nights have not been as jam packed as before. We've missed some crafts but still enjoyed our evenings together. So here it goes!

Feature Presentation: Lion King
Miss K was sick so no craft

We did enjoy banana pudding parfaits we watched:

Snack: Cupcakes (blue and pink party)

We explained to Miss K ahead of time about Maleficent becoming a dragon. She got a little nervous but did well. She talks about it sometimes and she says that Maleficent loves Jesus now so she won't be mean. Lol the things kids say. I told her that Maleficent lives at Disney and Miss K says mickey won't let her get me. We loved this one too and we have had blue/pink arguments since.

Feature Presentation: Brave
Craft: Merida hair
1435284066.jpg

Snack: Blue Cotton Candy Wisps/Chocolate Teddy Graham Bears
1435284068.jpg

This was a mommy/daughter night because daddy had to work. I love this movie and Merida.

Took her to see inside out too! It is my new favorite pixar movie. They did a fantastic job capturing the emotions of an adolescent girl and the adults lol.

Actual trip update!

So I finally scored our pre-park crystal palace ADR. I'm really excited. I want Mom and Miss K to see MK before it opens with fewer folks there. So magical! We also decided on dropping some ADRs and trying to flow a little more freely. So here's what I have:

Sept 27 - fly to Orlando, pick up rental car, stop at grocery for supplies, relax at resort. Maybe grill out supper or pick something up.

Sept 28 - Morning at AK (dropped our TH restaurant), lunch, explore, back to WBC for nap. Evening at Epcot. ADR at via Napoli

Sept 29 - MK pre park ADR at CP, explore, QS lunch (maybe), break, return for MSEP and Wishes

Sept 30 - MAYBE water park, enjoy resort, maybe DTD

Oct 1 - Blizzard Beach

Oct 2 - Hollywood Studios, lunch ADR at HV, break, fantasmic

Oct 3 - Pre park Akershus, Epcot, rest, MK

Oct 4 - (check out of WBC move to disney value resort) pool, nap, MNSSHP

Oct 5- Kona breakfast, fly home

So excited!
