Sorry if this has been posted already, but I'm excited... I just got back from Target where I got a Disney Dream Sketcher for $14.98 (down from $59.99.) I also got the Nemo cartridge for $10.48. I read too many negative things about this toy to have paid $50-60 for it but for $15 I'm willing to give it a try!!!

Are they located with the toys, electronics or on the end cap where Target puts their clearance items? :confused3

I saw them also, in the toys section, but they were only marked down to $29.98 at my Target.

goodies there for 75% off (Xmas)!!

Got one for $14.98 at one Target, was $29.98 at another one I went to. Barely worth the $15, carts were $7, slow, hard to see the screen, screwy interface, locks up and/or the picture on the screen gets out of whack and it needs a hard reset, but all said my 3 year old loves it and is way cheaper than the pixter she loves to play with at the store, she just likes the sketchpad function.

I would have been very upset if I had payed $60 for this..

glad to hear it. I saw all the bad reviews and sold mine on ebay for $65.00 :cool1: each

$41.98 at our Target. However, it seems like we NEVER have the deals at our Target that are disclosed on the boards.

I got a princess one today at Target for $14.98 also. Brought it home and put batteries in it and worked for a bit, but now is acting funny. I am hoping it is the batteries- I just got some out of my battery basket and dont know if they are "fresh" or not. DD really liked it for the few mins. she played with it. Guess I will keep the ticket in case something is wrong. UGG!!!!

I saw this thread prior to heading to Target earlier today. Not that I wanted one, but I saw them there for $41.98. I double checked the price at one of the aisle scanners and it came up as $14. I debated whether or not to get it based on all the negative reviews and decided against it. I also figured it was probably over my DD(2)'s head and not cool enough for my DS (7).

We've had the screen issues, which we remedy by using the stylus to hit the reset button on the back of the system...the thing also inhales batteries (SIX of them!)...but with all that said my dd-4 LOVES this toy. She has played with it every single day since Christmas...I was worried about the reviews but she had begged for it and it lived up to her expectations, so I guess that makes it totally worth it.
She has the TRU exclusive Cinderella one so the Target sale wouldn't have helped us but I wish ours had ANY of the games...all she has is the Princess one. And we are still at $29.98 also.

I bought this because DS3 has been incredibly jealous of DD5's Pixter ever since Christmas. Compared to the Pixter, the Dream Sketcher STINKS!!!! The graphics are horrible, the games are boring, the colors are almost impossible to distinguish. Still, for $15, he is very pleased to have a toy similar to his sister's and the way he treats the screen I'm glad to not have spent $60+ on another Pixter. I guess it was worth $15, but the Pixter was TOTALLY worth $60!

Well, I bought new batteries and this crazy thing worked for all of 2 1/2 seconds and then goes off again. My DD7 is melting down because it worked for about 15 mins the first day and she liked it a lot. Now it wont work and she wants to trade it for another one. No way. I am not going through meltdown over a toy again. It is going back to the Target and $15 is going back in my wallet. I hate seeing Disney toys that are made so cheaply they dont work. I also had the Mickey alarm clock that gave me grief and I heard so many people complain about the cordless phones that I didnt buy that either. Disney has so much $ they could afford to make all their toys of the highest quailty.

thanks for the heads up.
I was actually considerig getting this for ds before chrictmas. . . but glad I didn't.
I'm glad I didn't pay more than $15 for it.
It's REALLY cute, and hasn't acted up yet, but the graphics are kinda "blah". . . and well, I'm cheap. lol

I just found this at my Target today for $15, and I plan on giving it to my daughter for her 5th birthday at the end of the month. She saw it somewhere and wanted it, but I just hope it works for her. It wasn't too much of an investment though.

Oh, no. I hope I (and the kids) won't be disappointed. I just got back from Target and paid $29.98 for it- I got the Mickey one since I have both a girl & boy. I picked up the last three cartridges that they had (Cinderella, Toy Story, & Incredibles) for 7.48 each. I have a DD4.5 & DS2.5 and neither of them even know about this Dream Sketcher- at least they never brought it up to me. I was planning on surprising them and pulling it out on the airplane on the way to Disney in two weeks. We already have the My first Leapad that I was also going to pack so that they can switch on the plane.

Am I making a mistake by keeping it? Or should I just go ahead and return it and go with "Plan B" for airplane entertainment? (We just went in September and my Plan B worked out great.) Thoughts?
