Disney Dream- September 25th 4-Night Bahamian Cruise!

Since this is our first Disney Cruise I can't book anything yet. I am hoping that I will be able to get the excursion we want. Fingers crossed!!

Just made my Palo reservations this morning.

Was surprised to see I could book dinner on any night we wanted. We picked Pirate Nights since I am hoping this is a repeat dining room night and we have done the pirate thing twice already. Brunch reservations were all taken.

Since this is our first crusie we can't book anything until 75 days out. I guess I don't have to worry about trying to get a Palo brunch reservation now. I do hear that they leave some of the Palo reservations open to book once on board. I guess I'll have to go that route. As long as we get our couples massage the wife will be happy.

Get online at midnight for Palo, you never know. DCLholds bck a certain number of every offering for each level of cruiser so there should be some brunch ressies available but they will be gone ASAP, they also will hold some back for onboard reservations, just make sure you go do this first thing when you get onboard. You can also wait list for ressies on a certain day as many times folks cancel at the last minute.

Excursions will be fine, most past cruisers don't do excursions in Nassau, or they head over to Paradise Island on their own, that is if they get off the ship at all.

Us we are having lunch with friends who live in Nassau. There were plenty of spa reservations available as well three days ago.

Thanks! I will be online at midnight the night I can book. I've even made arrangements to go into work a little later the day after. How do the arrival times look still. I think my order of business is

1. Palo Brunch
2. Port Arrival time
3. Spa
4. Excursions - we don't plan do anything in Nassau. We may get off the boat for an hour or two just to say we did.

On a side note does anyone know if they stamp your passport? Also I've heard you can give the CM a pillowcase for the charactor to sign. Can anyone tell me more about these two things?

dont know about the stamp. Have heard Guest services will.

the pillowcase needs to be turned into Guest Services the first night of the cruise. also include the sharpies or fabric pens to sign it. ) I always pack it in a ziploc gallon size bag. You get your choice of who signs it too. All the characters. (fills up the pillowcase) or the Fab 5. they will be delivered to your cabin on the last night of your cruise.

Last year we had a 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 picture insert signed. they both turned out great! it is one item per person in the cabin. if you have 4 people, then 4 items.

Thanks for the postive thoughts on excursions. We did a Bahama cruise with Carnival years ago and didn't do any excursions. But my 2 DD's want to go see the dolphins. I am hoping to get the early booking so that we will be back in time for dinner.

When you get off the ship in Nassau just ask any of those working in the port to direct you to the Customs desk, they will stamp your passport there.

You can get a pillowcase signed or a picture frame mat, you need to put it in a large envelope or baggie and mark it with your cabin number. If you have any requests like please don't use pink this is for a boys room, etc. you want to tape it onto the pillowcase where they can't miss it. Also, if you put sharpies in, they will return them to you. If you decide to use a picture mat, you will want to use painters tape an tape the edges where it will go behind the frame, when you frame it so that the signatures don't run off the frame .

We always throw a bag of Hershey chocolates in the envelope so the characters can have a treat while they create our special memory piece. You should drop it at guest services on Sunday and you will find it on your bed on the last night of the cruise.

Anymore questions let me know, this is our the DCL cruise.

For anyone interested in joining the Facebook Group you can do it through me. Send me a PM and I'll give you all the details. Happy JULY everyone!!

Thanks for all of the help on my questions. Never been on a cruise before, but we are really looking forward to it. Especially a Disney cruise. Can you tell we are Disney junkies!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We are in Richmond, I see you are a Virginian as well. How are you getting to the port?
We are flying out of Norfolk the day before and staying in Cape Canaveral that night. Southwest has an awesome rate. I am trying to remember what we paid. I think it was $109. Plus you get checked baggage for no cost as long as you don't take a ton of luggage. We are renting a car through budget and returning it in Cape Canaveral the morning of the cruise. Then afterwords we are spending a few days at the parks.
Are you flying as well??

No we are driving from Richmond on Saturday and spend the night at the port, we have done it so many times its no longer a big deal and we like to have our car. After the cruise we are heading to WDW to meet up with about 15 couples who are coming down for the weekend. We are all doing one of the Wine and Dine marathons, a DATW event and celebrating the 40th anniversary at the MK.

Really looking forward to finally getting our window open for booking/online check-in. Our third cruise (DS's first), first on Disney. DW and I really just want some Spa and Nursery time. Done the Bahamas and can find something in Nassau for the boys if there is nothing available.

Come on, September!

I am planning to be on the computer at midnight. Call me crazy, but my DD's want to do the dolphin excursion. I would hate to have to disappoint them.pirate:

I'll be online at midnight too. Hoping to snag a Palo Brunch!

We are cruising our first DCL trip this very same time. We are new to DCL so I don't know much about it. I do know we are on deck 6 room 6620. We are very excited and i would love to know more about this FE thing being talked about. If someone could please fill me in that would be great.

Traveling will be:
Me: 37
DH: 39
DD: 15
DS: 8

We are actually traveling as a dream trip through the dream factory for our son. He has a rare syndrome and has been through 10+ surgeries and many hospital stays for testing and illness. Any tips would be great as for what we should do, see, avoid. I do know we have first dining seating. Other than that I dont know what any of it means.

I'll be online at midnight too. Hoping to snag a Palo Brunch!

Sorry, they were already taken when the cruise opened to us. We are Gold members, we had hoped to try Brunch at Palo too! We were able to book a tea at Palo, that might be open. Good luck
