Disney Dream- September 25th 4-Night Bahamian Cruise!

MIMI won't that 5 day cost the same as a 7 day eastern??????

Probably but the 7 day eastern is in Oct. Our 20th anniversary is in November (trip to Aulani) - no way I can take two weeks off in a school year!

:welcome: Tracy! We are also sailing "sans kiddos" as ours are in the work force and a junior in college. I hope you can get your friends to go - cruising is so much fun with friends! Our friends from 2008 and 2010 cruises, Kamy and Steve, are also going this time - makes for GOOD TIMES!

Thank you tikimimi :goodvibes

Welcome Tracy!! I added your name to the FE list. If you let me know your husbands name and your stateroom I'll add those details as well. Can't wait to meet all of you in September.

Thank you tamis. My husbands name is Nick. No stateroom number yet. Will let you know.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. :yay:

11 months and counting!!

Tamis: My children will be 11 and 4 for the cruise date. Our cabin is 2013. My in-laws are going too. They participated in the FE for our last cruise, but I will verify with them before I add them to the list. We are hoping to get more friends to travel with us.

It is a rainy, dreary day here. I am dreaming of Castaway Cay!

Hi all - I'll be on this cruise too along with my Mom. This will be her 1st cruise ever :). She is deathly afraid of water so I'm hoping she does OK.

PLease add us to the FE list

Names - Kathy & Margaret Warner
Room #7673

Really looking forward to the cruise after hearing about the entertainment options today on the Dream:yay:

Welcome Katherine and Margaret. I'm happy to see even more people joining us on this cruise!

Nick & Tracy...It looks like we'll be hallway buddies. My family is staying in 2522 & 2523 which is pretty close to your room. I'm sure we'll run into each other in the hallway at some point in time!

tinkspixies...Can you let me know if both of the names you gave me are adults, or is one a child?
Thanks...I'll update the list once I find that out.

Husurdady...no worries. In all actuality, my oldest son has been known to sleepwalk in the past. Luckily not in the last couple of years, but still...I wouldn't put it past him. He's a good kind of sleepwalker though. His dad and I can get him to spill all sorts of great secrets when it happens. Aaahhh, the joys of parenthood!

Hi, We're going on the 9/25/11 Dream, too!!! We have 4 cabins---all adults, this time. I don't have the cabin numbers yet, but I will post them when I get them. We and our son (2 cabins)want to participate in the FE. I am not sure about my sister and our friends. I will post about them when I find out. Our friends, our son and we are on Deck 2. I don't know where my sister and brother in law are yet.

It will be me----Barbara
DH--------------Bob
DS--------------Bill
My sister--------Kate
BIL--------------Dale
Very good friends--Loretta
and -------------Michael

Mu husband and son are very excited to be on the Dream....and the big slide!! This will be our 7th Disney cruise.

Barbara :goodvibes

Barbara (and family) WELCOME! I added your names to the FE list. Hopefully you don't mind me asking, but is Bill an adult or a child. If he's a child I can put his age down, and if he's an adult I'll add that info. so people know.

To everyone else on this board, our FE list has grown the past few weeks. That's so exciting! It looks like it might be time to split into a couple groups. Would everyone planning to participate in the FE exchange be okay with this? I want to make sure it's not overwhelming for anyone who wants to participate in it. I fear if the list gets too long, some people might feel it would be too much of a hassle and cost to participate. I'd love to know your thoughts on that.

I'll continue with one master list for now, and maybe split the groups as we get closer to sailing. I imagine a few more families will join between now and next September :woohoo:. For anyone who's participated in the FE before, when would a good cut-off date be to join? I was thinking August 1st, but let me know if you think that is too early or too late.

Thanks!
Tami

Bill is an adult. We usually take the 7 day cruises, but my husband wanted to go down that slide!!
We have a 7 day cruise planned in December of 2011 with the family---including grandchildren!! We are hoping for some cheap airfare.
I don't mind making groups for the FE if that is what you would like to do.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!!
Barbara:goodvibes

Hi everyone we just booked our first cruise last night!! :woohoo: We booked a 11A GTY so we don't know what deck or cabin yet but I'm soooooo excited!! We haven't told the kids yet, we're telling them in a bit.

:welcome: palmtreegirl! Glad you'll be joining us! How old are the kids? Disney cruises are wonderful!

The last time we did FE, we had about 20 cabins, so were okay with the list right now! I agree the 1st of August should be the cut off for the FE!

Tamis, I think you've got the right idea about the FE. Aug. 1 is a good cut-off for the cruise date. Even though we don't think we're doing FEs this time, I thank you for being sensitive to everyone's situation. If folks choose to do a gift per person, 10 cabins can be a lot. If they do one per cabin, 20
would probably work, but again, we'll have all different situations within our group of cruisers. I'm sure as the time gets nearer, you'll still have plenty of time to split if needed. And you're right again - you'll get people joining through the year. It really is a lot of fun - we'll probably hang ours just to be able to see it each day; it's fun to come down the hall and see it hanging. :yay:

Tikimimi...You should hang it! Maybe you'll even get a small unexpected gift one day. I loved seeing peoples fish extenders last year, although I had no idea what they were at the time. There's nothing quite like a Disney Cruise.
